Times when wrestlers were accidentally bleeding

more often then not, a wrestler bleeding is self inflicted for the sake of adding realism

the only CONFIRMED occasions that wrestlers cut themselves unintentionally I can find are:

the time Foley lost part of his ear,
the the time he lost his tooth in Hell in the Cell at KOTR '98
and Joey Mercury getting hit with a ladder

I want to know if there are any others

also I hope the mods don't mind entries from non WWE promotions

Despite what you may have heard about so-called "smark marks" and the "IWC" some of us are actually here to help. All you have to do is ask.

It should be 100% standard across pro wrestling.

Only thing that comes to mind when it isn't a blade job is when they are bleeding from the mouth sometimes it's only minor of course but looks accidental.

Pretty sure the eye injury Shawn received in that match a while back with Jericho was accidental, though they played it off like it was work. Don't remember what was ruptured, but he bleed a river on his face.

Cm Punk at Over the Limit got opened up to the point where they had to stop the match (that had to be aggravating as hell). Brodus Clay got busted with a ladder once. Dolph tried to headbutt Sheamus and he fucked himself up. Just off the top of my head but there are quite a few more instances.

Goldberg on his recent return on Raw his head was bleeding I think because he accidentally shaved too close that's an example of accident bleeding LOL

I actually think he banged his head on the door.

One I vividly remember was Samoa Joe vs Finn Balor at NXT Dallas. Joe got busted open pretty much straight away. There was an awesome spot on the outside where Joe went full beast mode and blood was pouring out his head. Such a great visual

I was just reminded about Tommaso Ciampa last year when Gargano threw him into the LED board. His head got shredded pretty good.
