The Roman Rule.......... sorry, the Wild-Card Rule,

Am I right in thinking that Roman has been on every RAW since he switched to Smackdown?? This whole thing just screams of Vince wanting Roman to be featured as much as possible (as this worked so well in the past!!).

I thought the whole point of this new rule was to bring some unpredictability back to the product? That simply won't happen if it's just the same people every week. It also makes their "biggest acquisition in Smackdown history" line even more laughable than it was already

I understand that there are people that like Roman, but surely they want to see other people featured on the shows too?

That's exactly what it is. Might as well have just given Roman the free agent treatment because this "wild card" rule really makes it hard to invest in the shows since there's all these erratic moving parts.

Re: The Roman Rule.......... sorry, the Wild-Card Rule,

But other stars have been showing up on the opposing brand as well. Kofi has been on RAW quite a bit as well as have the Usos. Drew has been on SD and from the women Becky has been on both brands and last night Lacey showed up on SD.

I'm not saying others haven't been showing up. But not every single time. It's overkill and will just lead to more people getting sick of him sooner. The reactions are getting worse every week. If you're a fan of Roman surely this can't be what you want?

Kofi is WWE champion, The Usos are actually on the RAW brand, Becky was the SD champ until Sunday so her being on every SD up until that point is a non-issue.

Brand split over!! That's what they are hearing up for. Expect unification of the world titles either as Summerslam or Survivor Series. With having shows on 2 different networks later in the year, they have to avoid the "you gave them this, but we only got that" arguments.

Re: The Roman Rule.......... sorry, the Wild-Card Rule,

The only people who should be able to move from brand to brand are people with titles.

Re: The Roman Rule.......... sorry, the Wild-Card Rule,

It’s worse than just putting Roman on both shows. This may be the biggest clusterfuck ever in the WWE and that’s saying something. They might as well end the brand split now, it’s almost impossible to keep track of who is on each brand.

Usos are feuding with Bryan/Rowan for the Smackdown tag titles, but they are on Raw? On top of that, they are also feuding with the Revival at the same time. I honestly don’t even know who the Raw tag champs are right now.

Shane McMahon is feuding with Reigns and Miz, while aligned with Elias and McIntyre?

The women’s division is basically combined at this point.

Kofi is on Raw every week yet he’s the Smackdown champion.

It’s just non-sense to have this wildcard rule and maintain a brand split.

But the WWE title is the SD title per the brand split so being the WWE champion shouldn't really be a pass for showing up on the opposing brand. With Becky you are right as she was holding both belts until recently. I mixed up the Usos, they showed on SD a previous week. Also Lars has been showing up on both brands. Not every week like Reigns but then again we know that Reigns is their guy and the one they have as Cena's replacement and as such they want to feature him the most often and prominently.

As a fan of Reigns I've always said that boo or cheer it doesn't matters as long as he continues to get the big reactions. What you see as getting worse I see as his reactions getting back to the thunderous mix of cheers/boos he has been getting for years now which I think is better than the weaker even if more positive reactions he was getting the first few weeks after he came back.

Don't get me wrong, I rather there'd be no wildcard rule and that I could just have Reigns on SD but not out of fear of people getting sick of him or his reactions getting worse but more because I think it helps prevent WWE from falling back to the same rivalries (with Drew in Reigns' case, with Becky in Charlotte's case, for example). It just turns things into a bit of a mess just for the sake of trying to be unpredictable to try and get people to watch.

It is really a dumb rule just to try and make things unpredictable in their hopes of getting people to tune in but it really just turns everything into a mess. Unpredictability our the sake of it is not a good thing and it is clear that this is just Vince hitting the panic button. Like you said it just makes everything very confusing and leads to many of the talents multi tasking and having multiple feuds.

Re: The Roman Rule.......... sorry, the Wild-Card Rule,

The brand split with the wild card rule is like a condom with a hole poked in it: it makes the overall experience less pleasurable and also fails to accomplish the one thing it's supposed to do.
