Honestly, I think Raw got the better end of the deal overall for the men. Guys like AJ Styles, Cesaro, Ricochet, The Miz, Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio, Usos, War Raiders, and Cedric Alexander are great additions to have on the Raw roster
Those guys can definitely help carry the in-ring quality on that show along with the likes of Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler (if he's still around with the company), Lio Rush, the Revival, and Drew McIntyre. Plus, I'm interested to see what they do with Bobby Roode now that he's officially a solo act.
Smackdown did get some great picks with guys like Aleister Black, Finn Balor, and Buddy Murphy
Chad Gable is a pretty good pick in-ring wise. Elias is an entertaining midcard act. Lars Sullivan could definitely make a big impact on Smackdown, and Roman Reigns being added to the blue brand is an interesting choice. You also still have guys like Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E (when he returns), Andrade, Ali, Sheamus, Shinsuke Nakamura, the Hardy Boyz, and Rusev who can be part of some entertaining matches with those names too.
However, the Smackdown women's division is fucking stacked
You have women like Becky Lynch (for now), Charlotte Flair, Asuka, Ember Moon, Bayley, Kairi Sane, Mickie James, and Sonya Deville ALL on the same roster
Raw basically have women like Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Ruby Riott, Sasha Banks (if she's still around), Natalya, and Naomi; which doesn't really match Smackdown's side. There's also Lacey Evans too, but she's still pretty inexperienced atm. Zelina Vega is pretty much a valet nowadays.
Anyway, I think Smackdown easily wins with the women's side. However, Raw probably got the better end of the deal for me because the male call-ups make up in strength for what they lack in the female side.
This year's shakeup may have been more balanced compared to that clean sweep from last year
Okay, so now I'm interested to hear your thoughts about these new rosters. Which show got the better end of the deal? Does Raw or Smackdown have the stronger roster? Which show has the more interesting names for you? Which show interests you more (assuming that you watch)?
Feel free to share your thoughts here
