Can 'cool' heels be considered as great heels?

How do you define a true heel anyway? And who fits that criteria? Whenever Kevin Owen made his entrance he got cheered during his heel run and yet a lot of fans said that K.O is a great heel something like that. Discuss...

A Heel should always get boos not cheers they are supposed to be vile egomaniacs who draw a negative reception from the crowd at all costs, Cheating to win is the basic 101 form of being one until guys like Ric Flair and Eddie Guerrero were given a pass and with guys like the NWO being so popular made it the cool thing to cheer the bad guys, Kayfabe being killed off made it worse.

A Great Heel never gets cheered they actually succeed in getting heat every time they appear in or out of the ring.

An example of a great heel is Daniel Bryan. He was universally loved as a babyface and now he is the most effective heel on the roster, he's booed by the fans, he's entertaining but most importantly he's getting baby faces over, look what he just did for Kofi.

An example of a bad heel right now is Orton. His only move is to sneak attack someone with the RKO... which just pops the crowd.

If you're getting cheered, you're doing it wrong.

Heels are supposed to draw heat. For example when you see even smarks get worked by a guy like Baron Corbin you know he's doing a great job.

A heel is supposed to draw heat. Heat is something that you can cook with. If you aren't able to cook with it, then you don't have heat, you have boos. The aim is to take your heat and use it to get people to pay to see a fight where there is a babyface they can live vicariously through. This babyface, ideally, becomes a star whose name can draw money when advertised for a card.

Austin 3:16 said cool heels are the biggest draws ever in wrestling.

Other guys who said this are Hollywood Hogan, Corporate Rock, dX, nWo..

A true heel should be universally hated by most. I'd consider Jinder and Corbin the closest characters to a true heel due to:

A. Have been heels their entire career

B. Get consistent heat when pushed

Heels that get cheered are not true heels to me. For example, Elias, Owens, Sami Zayn, Johnny Gargano. These are heels the fans secretly want to cheer and want their validation. They are witty, sarcastic and almost in a way similar to Jericho but I don't know how else to put my finger on it. They all seem like tragic comedy characters.

Also, unpopular opinion but guys like AJ, DB and other underdog characters should be used SPARINGLY as heels because it doesn't work, at least not to me. DB turned heel for no reason it seems other than they wanted him as a heel. When it's actually required for the integrity of the show (Roman, Cena) nothing happens.

Also, WWE don't seem to care much anymore about fan perspective when switching characters alignment. Rusev, Strowman and Elias are perfect examples of that.

Corbyn's heat is because people want him to actually leave lol.
Bryan is the best example I can find of a great heel.
