It happens in every sport.

It's not creepy...😶

Don't shit on fans for being fans. You don't know what connection these fans have to these people or what impact they've made on their lives. To a lot of people, especially younger fans who look up to wrestlers, being star struck, anxious and emotional over your heroes is what wrestling is all about. You want to express your love for them so you get them a gift. Nothing creepy about that. Being an obsessive fan does not always mean the same as being a stalker or creep.

Re: Why Do Fans Give Wrestlers Gifts?

I did it at Axxess this year I got Dean and Seth beanie hats with New Zealand on them, cos I know they both love wearing them. They were both really appreciative, Dean said he needed it cos it was cold and Seth seemed genuinely touched and thanked me multiple times.

I mainly did it as a little way to say thank you to them for entertaining me, especially to Dean as he's leaving and it might have been my last opportunity.

I see nothing wrong with it as long as you don't go overboard. The hats cost me less than 20 bucks altogether.

Met Dean on March 28 2015/April 2 2016/August 20 2016/April 1 2017 & April 7 2019!!
Met Roman on April 2 2016 & April 7 2018. Met Seth on March 31 2017 & April 6 2019!!

I guess it's a nice gesture. I get your point but some people want to show their appreciation or is even part of their culture to gift people. I do think too that traveling with all these gifts must be hell but I wouldn't throw them away. I would probably have a space/corner somewhere at my place of all the fan gifts.

She has to lug that thing around the country, maybe the World depending on where they were going next. Sasha at Axess on her Instagram paintings, stuffed animals you name it. What is she going to do with all that junk? The only thing I ever saw that partly made sense was someone got Charlotte an edible bouquet for her birthday. It was mostly Reeces. Maybe if she is with a group they could finish it before she have to leave Tuesday after Smackdown. What do people think? Use some common sense. Some wrestlers don't even have a place, they are on the road so much it isn't worth it. What kind of mess are they in? They must feel bad having to leave stuff at the hotel or throw it away.
Pearl Jam.

I think it's cute when kids give them artwork. Other than that....it's kinda weird. Especially if you aren't rolling in dough I can't see spending that kinda money on someone who's doing alright.

I never said anything was creepy. It isn't practical. Things like that are one thing. That can fit in a suitcase or they wear them. But 12 teddy bears,a chalk painting, posters. What is somebody that won't be home for a month and flying somewhere supposed to do with it?

Re: Why Do Fans Give Wrestlers Gifts?

I see nothing wrong with fans giving gifts to their favorite wrestlers to show appreciation. If you think its bad over here though, you haven't seen the joshi scene or even worse, the idol scene in Japan.

I know Io posted about it on her old blog, but a fan in STARDOM got her both an iPad and Macbook as a gift. They are really serious about it over there.

You do realize mail is a thing? If they really wanted to keep it and not carry it around, they could simply mail it home.

It really isnít that difficult a concept to comprehend.

Re: Why Do Fans Give Wrestlers Gifts?

This is also not strictly a professional wrestling phenomenon.

Top 5: 1) Seth Rollins 2) Becky Lynch 3) Aleister Black 4) Daniel Bryan 5) The Miz
