Re: WWE Reportedly Does Not Hold Online Hacks and Leaks Against Victimized Superstars

I wouldn't expect their private life, leaked without their consent to be held against them either. However, surely in this day & age, Paige's antics with the belt would be grounds for punishment? Sure, the video was leaked..... but just because it happened behind closed doors doesn't make it any less of a PR issue for the company? Playing devils advocate here, if all it took was being behind closed doors and not *intended* for distribution..... well let me tell you something, brother!...............

As for the Chyna debate, it'll be interesting to see how that plays out in the long-term.
Sure, kids could Google Chyna and end up finding porn. However, they have mentioned her (Raw anniversary) where kids could end up Googling.

Equally, in their Google searches, they could look up X-Pac, who WWE have no problem featuring from time to time and who will no doubt end up in the HoF eventually.
Didn't X-Pac and Chyna actually sell their own sex tape for ~$150,000 ?
Ok, it's not porn-porn.... but essentially, it's porn.

I agree that talent shouldn’t be punished for getting private photos stolen, however Paige should have been immediately terminated for what she did to the NXT women’s championship. That’s company property and other people had to use that belt afterwards. Had they fired or punished her for that, it would be completely acceptable.

A leak is what happens partly due to our society's obsession with always being connected, and our smartphones being glued to our hands.

I have a smartphone too, but I don't have a data plan or even use the wi-fi on it. I literally only use it to make calls and send texts.

When I want to shoot pictures, I use this neat gadget that's been around forever called a 'camera'. I've actually met celebs like wrestlers and comedians who smiled when they saw I used an actual camera to grab a selfie with them and didn't just whip out the latest iPhone; Bill Burr had a great line about me being the "last true non-robot".

It's never held me back in my job as a reporter, proving that we don't all need to be so ultra-connected.

Just my two cents.
