WWE is known to want complete control over their superstars' look. Seems like the only way around it is to come back after injury, filming, etc.

Of course it's allowed to criticize wrestlers' looks and bodies and how they should change it after a while.

Unless you suggest Peyton Royce looked better without fake tits, then you better make peace with the lord.

You're assuming WAY too much independence for the talent. WWE is notorious for how micromanagey they are these days.

There isn't much competition out there to fall back on if a change in direction fails..

If you aren't an indy darling or someone that the indy crowd loves, forget about making it very far in professional wrestling without WWE.

It wouldn't make sense for the employees to go against a steady pay cheque in hopes of moving up since the risk to reward ratio isn't in their favour
