Who cares? Nobody said ROH/NJPW were superior to WWE (from a business standpoint), just that they didn't need Vince's help selling out a big and famous arena. And evidently they didn't.

Who even buys the story, or at least the genuinity of it, that Vince would even give them advice anyway? The Vince I've always heard of is always ruthless and diametrically opposed to competition of any kind. Can't imagine them calling and getting any kind of answer other than being laughed at and told, "You're on your own on this one, pal."

So Vince probably isn’t as intimidating as they make him out to be! He seems approachable. He’s just a jerk when he’s booking your character

Whatever man, my point was all the people in the thread talking shit about "Well, Cody can promote fine without Vince" obviously are short sighted.

I point that out, and now everyone is trying to backtrack what was actually said.

It's funny, I think a guy who was the son of a promoter, who had a huge show that he depended his reputation and livelihood on, would be something that people could say sounds like Vince would know about.

I mean All In isn't much different to Cody then what WrestleMania 1 was to Vince.

And even if you believe the story, at face value, all Vince said was is "hey September is a horrible time to promote" I am sure it was just business advice from a guy who is the most successful man in the business, nothing wrong with that at all.

Scalpers say thanks.

I'd rather a house took a day to sell out, if it meant fans bought the tickets at the regular price.

Re: Vince McMahon Would Have Given Cody And The Young Bucks Advice About Promoting All In Had They Called

I don't think it's unbelievable that Vince would give advice to Cody if he asked for it. Wasn't there also a report a while back that Vince has spoken with the Bucks personally before around the time the Hardys signed? At the end of the day, it's a one off show so Vince knows it's not actually a threat to him. I see no reason why he wouldn't offer advice to Cody (who he's known since he was a child) when so many wrestlers who spent a long time in WWE seem to actually have a pretty great relationship with Vince. Hell, look at how upset Owens was that he'd disappointed Vince in that Network show about him. I think the wrestlers and Vince are a lot closer than a lot of fans seem to realise in all honesty.

I'm glad this all worked out without any WWE involvement. It makes the success of All In all the more special.

I see nothing bad here. And promoting advice from Vince isn't a bad thing. It's creative direction and booking you would avoid his advice
