Black Metal likes this.

D'you suppose they listen to me when I tell'em so, when I pointed out the consequences, when I recommend 'em to read Coryphaeus? No, Mrs. Ambrose, you will form no just opinion of the stupidity of mankind until you have sat upon a Borough Council!

Re: I just realized that the "Roman Experiment Era" has gone on longer than the entire Attitude Era...

It's interesting to compare Reigns' major accomplishments to the most pushed wrestlers of the Vince junior era. Reigns is 33 now so assuming no major injury or deciding to go to Hollywood he should have seven years on top as 40 is usually the age the top guy is based off full time schedule.

In 88 days he will be 6 years on the main roster:
* 3 WWE titles, 1 Univeral (120 days as world champion)
* 4 Wrestlemania mainevents
* 1 Rumble win
* 2 Summerslam mainevents

After 6 years this is how the others compare

John Cena (31 years old in June 2008)
* 3 WWE titles (794 days as world champion total)
* 2 Wrestlemania mainevents
* 1 Rumble win
* 2 Summerslam mainevents

Steve Austin (37 years old in January 2002)
* 6 WWE titles (530 days as champion total)
* 3 Wrestlemania mainevents
* 3 Rumble wins
* 2 Summerslam mainevents

The Rock (30 years old in November 2002)
* 7 WWE titles and 2 WCW titles (405 days total as champion)
* 3 Wrestlemania mainevents
* 1 Rumble win
* 3 Summerslam mainevents

Hulk Hogan (36 years old in January 1990).. didn't include his one year run in 79-80 in wwwf
* 2 WWE titles (1749 days as champion total)
* 4 Wrestlemania mainevents
* 2 Summerslam mainevents (show debuted 4 years after his re-debut)

Brock Lesnar was 8 years 4 months in total between 2 runs.
* 4 WWE titles and 1 Universal (1,082 days as champion)
* 3 Wrestlemania mainevents
* 1 Rumble win
* 7 Summerslam mainevents

When this thought crossed my mind I just couldn't help but laugh. To think that trying to get Roman over has taken longer than the entire Attitude Era is absolutely insane. I don't even hate Roman really but I did wish that they would've moved on from him... but that obviously isn't happening.

I know people are gonna bring up John Cena's lengthy run but at least he was over the first few years. Right out of the gate at RR 2015 Roman was not over in any way. This whole era isn't about Roman being over it's about Vince and the entire WWE staff trying to get him over, that's what's so mind-blowing.

Now I know, I know, there's a million threads about Roman, but I just couldn't believe it when this realization dawned on me--especially as someone who actually watched the Attitude Era when it was happening.
Technically I'd say we're three years into the Roman Era right now. John Cena's and Hulk Hogan's eras as FoTC lasted for nine years each (2005 - 2014, 1984 - 1993). There is still a lot of story to play out.

Lets all enjoy this fantastic era in professional wrestling.

One dat we'll look back at this and realise how polarizing Roman was. This kind of emotion is what makes wrestling great.

Thank you Roman.
Thank you Vince.

Greetings from Belgium!

The argument that people should just stop going to events if they don't like Reigns is flawed. There may be 10 other people that they do want to see.

What people should be doing is turning their backs whenever he is in the ring. If everyone that boos him was facing the other way, then this is far harder for WWE to edit their way out of. The other option is that they go and get a drink or some food when he comes out. WWE are pretty good at hiding the empty parts of the arenas when the camera isn't pointed at it. Even they would struggle if most of the people on the camera facing side weren't there, or were facing the other way

Re: I just realized that the "Roman Experiment Era" has gone on longer than the entire Attitude Era...

the problem is the WWE has brought in RECORD PROFITS every year since they undeservedly pushed Reigns to main event status years ago against Brock. (yes undeservedly and I'm a fan of Roman)

that is the bigge$t problem of them all

because all Vince $ee$ is RECORD PROFITS

every. single. year.

the money comes in.. so really, in VKM's mind..

Reigns = CASH MACHINE

sad but true

Re: I just realized that the "Roman Experiment Era" has gone on longer than the entire Attitude Era...

Solution 1: Stop watching the show.

Roman haters reply: But there are other wrestlers i want to see...

Solution 2: Turn Your back during a Roman match.

Roman haters reply: But i want to see his opponent and paid too much for my ticket.

Solution 3: Stop buying Roman merchandise.

Roman haters reply: If my kid wants a Roman shirt, I must buy it.

Solution 4: Just stop booing him. Be quiet during his promo's.

Roman haters reply: NO, i want to let Vince know that I want another FOTC and I'll keep on crying about it on the internet and I'll boo as hard as i can.

Roman haters = hypocrits. It's Your own fault. Believe that...
