Re: Sleeper/Under rated matches

Bret vs Owen at WM 10. That match doesn't get the credit that it deserves.

Diesel Vs Taker Mania 12- Very underrated

This might surprise people but Bret vs Austin at Survivor Series 1996 was a GREAT match with a great ending and story. It's just that their mania 13 match is an iconic and more legendary moment. But their first match was pretty damn good

Re: Sleeper/Under rated matches

Depending on the definition of sleeper...

Randy Orton vs The Undertaker WM 21
Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks NXT Takeover Unstoppable
Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton Raw (don't remember the date but Orton DQ'ed himself at the end)
Daniel Bryan in a gauntlet match (Swagger, Cesaro, Ryback) Raw
Team Hell No/Randy Orton vs The Shield Smackdown
Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens Royal Rumble
Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins WM 31
Brock Lesnar vs John Cena Summerslam
Team Raw vs Team Smackdown Survivor Series 2014

All matches I really enjoyed that I don't see many talk about.

Re: Sleeper/Under rated matches

When talking about Bret Hart vs British Bulldog the match that likely comes up is 1992 Summerslam, but they had another solid match at an In Your House show in 1995. Bulldog played the heel this time.

Link to the match

Hopefully the link works, I was having issues with the Dailymotion code.

Re: Sleeper/Under rated matches

i always liked one particular raw match between Edge and Orton shortly after wm23 (i believe it was the same night Michaels and cena had that hour long one in london)

The one that always comes to mind for me is:

Shawn Michaels vs. Mankind
In Your House Mind Games 1996

This was a GREAT MATCH and IMO should be near the very top of both men's list of their best matches and performances. The match doesn't get credit historically because of the finish (DQ) and the drama afterwards with Vader and Undertaker getting involved as well as the fact it was a "one off" match at a secondary PPV.

This match displayed Shawn's ability to show another dimension to his character and be able to work with and make anyone look good. This match alsowell howed how good Foley really is and highlighted the sadistic nature of the Mankind character.

"Mail-tzer" (Meltzer in my Conrad Thompson voice) gave it 4 and 3/4 stars. I agree and say the only thing that made that made it not be a 5 star match was the DQ finish.

I actually liked the Survivor Series match better that the WM 13 match. I was there live as a 15 year old and loved it, but appreciated it even more when I watched the broadcast. I do understand the impact of the WM match though. However, for me, Austin was made in the SS match. A large part of The Garden crowd (including myself) were rooting for Austin.
