Cesaro Reveals What He Told Vince McMahon After His 'Brass Ring' Comments

Quote:
At SummerSlam in August, Cesaro famously ran into the crowd at the Barclays Center to intercept a beach ball and completely destroy it. He recently spoke to All Things Wrestling Radio about the incident and expressed no regrets.

During the Cesaro and Sheamus' match against Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins RAW Tag Team Championship, a beach ball began bouncing around in the crowd before Cesaro's frustration boiled over. And rightfully so, because he was part of one of the better matches on the SummerSlam card. Cesaro said he stands by what he did because he believes his performance in the ring is what should capture the audience's attention.

"It's Summerslam…arguably the second biggest pay-per-view of the year," he said. "Myself and Sheamus are out there against Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for the WWE Tag Team Championships. We poured our hearts into this match and I look out and see some schmucks playing with a beach ball. So I decided to put an end to that because if I'm in the ring, that's the most exciting thing to watch."

Fans have clamored for Cesaro to get a solid push in the WWE. He is one of the most talented in-ring performers on the entire roster and has shown the ability to put on incredible performances if he's given the chance. He felt disrespected when he saw the beach ball in the crowd.

"The fans say 'Cesaro is underappreciated'…and you have a hell of a match and they do something like that," Cesaro said. "So that's just disrespectful and I put a stop to that. Not on my watch."

Cesaro also commented on Vince McMahon's famous "brass ring" comments from 2014 in which he claimed Cesaro wasn't connecting with audiences. Cesaro said he used those comments as motivation to be better. Since then, he's been regularly involved in high-profile programs and has won the RAW tag titles multiple times.

"I was actually listening to it on the drive to the next city…I was not very happy about it to say the least because I couldn't disagree more," Cesaro said. "The next day I walked into his office and said 'challenge accepted.' That's how I deal with things – head on…I'd like to say I've been doing pretty good so far."

Fuck off Cesaro, I like you but you can't dictate what the fans can and cannot do. You also can't lump all fans into the same bracket. Not everyone is a fan, not everyone is saying you're under-rated. Personally, I think he is but this is just so sour.

I'd love to say I'm still holding out hope for a solid Cesaro singles push, but that ship has sailed. Vince just won't pull the trigger on it.

whats to bet vince mumbled under his breath "good luck with that" after he left the office.

as for the beach ball, I understand how annoying it would be but then its abit kill joy isnt it, I mean you see stuff like that all the time in football etc and no-ones bothered, seems wrestlers take things more personal.

Cesaro had every right to stop that beach ball shit so I do applaud him for it. And Vince saying he doesn't connect with fans...Wasn't he really over at one point? Either way good on Cesaro for using that as motivation to get better. Seems like it's paid off a bit.

His sly heel antics like tearing up the ball (Even though that was probably appreciated by a lot of people ) and the Angle sign at TLC have been great. He's not the greatest mic worker in the world but he's entertaining for sure, deserves to be given a fair push, like he has been recently to be fair.

*books wrestler like shit*

"He's not over with the fans"

Gee, I wonder what killed his momentum.

I'd rather Cesaro not go back to being a Singles Competitor anytime soon, seems like he's found his stride in the Tag Division, and out of all of the Divisions, the Tag is by far the best booked one at the moment.

I feel like a dick every time, but I can't stop laughing whenever he speaks with that mouth guard now. Feel for the guy. It's going to be hard for him to be taken seriously for a while now. At least promo wise. So I like him being with Sheamus and keeping it short and sweet.

Re: Cesaro Reveals What He Told Vince McMahon After His 'Brass Ring' Comments

Well if he thinks that he won the challenge by winning the damn Tag titles multiple times then there's a big problem. This guy is the best in-ring performer on the roster and one of the most organically over wrestlers in the past 3 years and yet he never got one single meaningful feud with lengthy PPV matches, that's how bad this retarded company has misused him. His level of overness and talent (yeah he's terrible on the mic but there are much worse scrubs that won the title) warrant a championship win or at least being a constant upper midcarder with 15 minutes matches every PPV.

Drop the challenge my friend and go get tips from Roman Reigns on how to get Vince's dick hard.

I think it's also disrespectful that you do whatever the fuck you want in order to get some attention because you think you're edgy, unique and cool while some people in the ring right in front of you are doing their best to entertain you. If you don't give a fuck about the show then don't even buy tickets, stay at home, do something else or stfu.
