ROH could have had something good with Elgin, it's a shame they always seemed to flirt around with using him but never pulled the trigger. Glad to see him succeeding in Japan. We all know Aries would get a lot of love if he came back to ROH, though.

And I'm gonna ball up my fists, and every single bad memory that I have, every single crummy emotion that forces through my veins, I'm gonna use against you. I'm coming after you from this dark place because this is no longer about me being the best in the world, this is about me kicking your ass!"

Well yeah he's always been one of their guys, but not everybody is given that same chance. It's no different than WWE really in that regard. In whatever promotion your in unless the promoter automatically see big thing in you, you'll probably have a hard time getting up that ladder.

They waited too long with Elgin.

He should have taken the title off Steen in 2012, he was as hot as he could be, and they waited 8 months before they gave him the title.

When they did, it was too late, RoH is notorious for giving a guy the title 1 year too late, they did it with Elgin, Davey, Strong, and some say even Tyler Black/Seth Rollins.

Of course. That in no way means ROH treats their talent as bad as WWE though. There will always be politics, but there's something to be said for artistic freedom as well. Besides, ROH being good or bad doesn't make the Infies themselves any less worth while for wrestlers right now. They are growing. WWE is like an aging bull. Time will pass it by eventually and something new will overtake it.

Outside of Vince's weird "let's wrestle backstage" habit and top guys having more in ring and character freedom I just don't believe that these promotions are ran that differently. While a guy like Aries may get say in his charcacter or the freedom to do whatever is the guy in the curtain jerk allowed that same freedom? I doubt it.

Maybe, but I don't think it has to worry about being overtook by something without a decent TV deal. I mean despite ratings spiraling they're still going to have their deal renewed. Things are growing in the Indies and that deserves credit no doubt.
