Frankly, I am not surprised by all of this at all. I didnt buy the notion that he retired.

Re: Backstage Update On Possible Undertaker Return.

He can return and not wrestle. Their last throw of the dice of him as say a onscreen mentor to Reigns? Not saying that I want this, but all I mean to say is he can be in some angles with smoke and mirrors and lead to a send off without him having to actually wrestle.

Re: Backstage Update On Possible Undertaker Return.

Please, no. He needs to stay away.

I understand that the match with Roman was terrible and would have preferred to see anyone else being his last opponent but that's what happens when you stay longer than you should. You have to compare yourself to how you were before. It's true in wrestling as well as essentially anything else. That's why Shawn and Austin retired at the right time. It's also why Vince should retire because how he is now doesn't compare favorably with how he was when he made this company into the powerhouse it is.

Taker should have retired in 2014 after Brock broke the streak. A total shock that everyone in the wrestling world will remember to the end of time. But he didn't. So if he's not happy with the match with Roman, that's the consequences of staying on.

Only showing Taker some tough love here. As a fan of his for essentially 20 years, I want him to stay gone.

Ambrose?

Come on now. He got his big shot big singles match with Lesnar and it was a truly terrible thing to watch.

If he has one last match it has to be with Cena and NOBODY else.

Re: Backstage Update On Possible Undertaker Return.

I cant believe that there are people on this thread saying that if he comes back, he should wrestle Cena. The man cant even walk properly, and you guys want him to wrestle?

Maybe most people dont care about his health, but think about his family. He has a wife, 4 children and a grand child. Think about them.

Re: Backstage Update On Possible Undertaker Return.

If he does face Cena at Survivor Series, he could compete as The American Bad Ass.

The 'putting the trench coat, gloves, hat in the middle of the ring and breaking kayfabe kissing his wife' ending could just be a symbol of him saying goodbye to Wrestlemania and hanging up The Deadman character for good.

But Survivor Series could be his official retirement. Go out where he started (as himself).

That match was the farthest thing from a "Big Shot" it was a slightly glorified squash match.
