Why are people afraid to admit the truth that the ongoing "Woman's wrestling movement" is fucking CRINGE!

Its nothing but cringe! Worthless, pointless, annoying and total waste of time.

Women just can't wrestle as good as men.

This is the absolute truth. Why are people scared to say this? WWE should NOT be investing so much in women, they will never draw money this way. Women are always a side act to men in almost all sports because the concept of sports has always been about men, catering TO MEN. Ofcourse there might be exceptions, like the MMA where maybe you could make a case with Rousey but success like these are very very rare and not worth taking the risk of investing in them.

Also, the idea that female wrestling fans watch wrestling FOR WOMEN WRESTLERS is utterly FALSE. They don't. They watch it for male talents just like the male fanbase does. Female fanbase did not make Ronda Rousey a star, her male fanbase did. If female wrestling fans wanted to watch a sport that caters to their gender specifically, then they wouldn't be wasting their time with pro-wrestling to begin with. When is WWE gonna realize this and get their ass back on track?

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! STOP IT!

Ignoring the truly stupid people here making idiotic sexist claims and comments ...

What I WILL say is that the blanket statement that "Women can't wrestle as well as men" is patently RIDICULOUS and demonstrably, massively incorrect. The only people that would even claim such a nonsense have simply never watched Women wrestling with anything in mind other than "huuurrhh, boobs".

Are all female wrestlers as good as all AJ Styles? No.
But the number of MEN in WWE as good as Styles is less than 10. Hell, probably less than 5!

Some of the women's matches that we have seen in the last few years, including NXT outings by Banks, Bayley, Nia and Auska, have proven, without any shadow of a doubt that SOME women are BETTER than SOME men.

I mean, it's only logical really. Wrestling is a skill that is learn-able by anyone. People will learn at different rates, and will reach their limits at different points.
And these limits are NOTHING to do with what kind of genitals are in their tights.

If we were ever in doubt as to the mental age of many people on this forum, you really only have to mention female wrestlers to start weeding out the ones that never progressed past 11. "EWWW GIRLS! GROSS!"

That would make sense if wwe was a real sport and the women were as entertaining to watch as the men (like tennis).....but it's not.

Women can't do half the moves the men can, what they do do looks like it wouldn't hurt me, they are slower, weaker and don't do power moves. They do not intimidate me in the slightest and they all have the same character of woman.

This is an entertainment show. If I only have 3 hours of spare time a week to watch wrestling why would I waste any of that time watching something inferior?
It's the same as football (soccer), I only have so much time to watch it in a week so am I going to dedicate that time to mens football or slower and weaker women's football?

This isnt sexism, this isn't misogyny. THIS IS REALITY.
It's not as entertaining therefore it isn't as good and people who value their time wony want to watch it when they could watch something better.

A lot of the women being showcased near the top of the card now are just as or more valuable money-wise as the majority of the male wrestlers, bar maybe 3 or 4. Plus, it's definitely important to present the company as being a part of the woman's movement in sport if they wish to appease their affiliates, as well as look like they belong with the current times.

Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, Bayley. Emma, Mickie, Natalya, and Asuka can wrestle on par with the men. The Total Divas cast + Dana Brooke cannot. And the former are being featured heavily.

The Raw Women's Division was going places from January 2016 - December 2016. Smackdown was always and continues to be the multiwoman clusterfuck division.

I don't think anyone can keep a straight face and say that the Women's Revolution is in full swing with Alexa and Naomi as your champs. I think for the most part they have stopped saying Women's Revolution outside the context of the Women's MITB. I think when Ronda lost last December, Stephanie gave up on the Women's Revolution PR since she no longer has to pay her ghostwriter to discuss the Stephanie-Ronda showdown now that Ronda is passé.

I can understand why people think women's wrestling sucks if the worst are showcased. It's like I laugh when people suggest Enzo Amore should be put in the cruiserweight division. He's going to get exposed even more in the workrate division. The women's divisions currently have the Enzo Amore equivalent and Naomi. So I'm inclined to agree and say the women's revolution failed. In the digital era of free porn, Vince went back to T&A.

I disagree to an extent. Don't get me wrong, I believe there is a place for women wrestling and I do believe it should be promoted and showcased, but I do not believe most are on par with the majority of men on the roster. Though some are obviously closer than others.

The women in WWE don't wrestle in a way that makes some of the things they do believable. Before someone shouts "PEOPLE'S ELBOW" I know, not everything in wrestling is meant to be believable; but some things are. Strikes for example.

When men throw punches, they look like punches. When women/Shane McMahon/Dean Ambrose throw punches, they look sloppy, weak, and like they're not even trying. That takes me out of the moment and disrupts my suspension of disbelief.

Then there's the continued sexualization of the female talents while they run the narrative that they're not doing that anymore. There's a place for it, but goddamn, at least be honest about it.

Basically, I'm glad we've moved away from it being purely this-

But this-

isn't working for me and this

is. I want the women looking like they are trying to kill each other out there, the way female MMA fighters do. In MMA, female fighters don't look different when fighting compared to the guys, the only difference is sex/gender.

In WWE, women noticeably wrestle differently than the men do. And oftentimes it looks more choreographed, or made to look softer/weaker. When it doesn't and its identical, its awesome. But a flailing ratchet ass slap to the face that is supposed to be a punch is thrown, nope.

I don't want the women physically beating the shit out of each other like in MMA, I just want it to look like they are trying to(not counting the comedy acts).

Been known. They'll always be divas. Their wrestling is embarrassing just like this forced "women's revolution."

I doubt anyone believes they're on par or better than men when it comes to wrestling but women do provide variety and a bit of eye candy.

What sucks is the whole "first women's ___" they keep doing. Woman have been throwing down in the indies for years doing more dangerous feats than some of the men on the main roster. WWE pretending like they're pioneers and not the ones who were behind is the real crime.

Plus you could obviously tell this was a ploy to reel in Rousey but once she fell off so did the revolution. Nonetheless women do belong on the show.

Also quit with the word "cringe" when it comes to describing wrestling as if the entire genre isn't cringy as fuck

Yikes. This is why people with less than 500 posts shouldn't be allowed to make threads (and he's banned already).

Yeah, they aren't as good in the ring as alot of the men in the company, but we're acting like they're main eventing wrestlemania or some shit, they're main eventing the odd Raw and Smackdown here and there, and drawing the same or occasionally better than the guys. Their merch is doing fine aswell, at least with the top women, (Sasha has the 4th most amount items on sale in the entire company in fact).

There are 5 hours of weekly TV, and the women are mostly 10%, sometimes 20% of that. Just skip their segments if you don't like it. The product will still mostly be shit with or without them.

Laughing my ass off at all the pussy-starved neckbeards who would easily have their asses handed to them by Ronda calling her a poor fighter.

I think the comparison is kinda stupid. The top ranking female deadlifter will never be able to lift as much as her male counterpart. But she is still stronger and more athletically gifted than 98% of men on the planet, so I fail to see how it's not impressive.

I was ok with OP until he mentioned that women cannot think on the spot and should never be put in a position of power. I admit, the whole women's revolution has been mediocre but there's always been some standout moments here and there. The Charlotte vs Becky vs Sasha triple threat outshined all the other matches at wrestlemania. The whole Charlotte vs Sasha feud despite being a bit too overstretched, provided great matches. Recently, we had Nikki vs Asuka on NXT. Then there's the brilliant women's matches that exist outside of WWE.

You OP regardless, are obviously sexist.

1. Women entertain as action heroes in Hollywood movies. Same principle for Sports Entertainment.

2. Women characters in WWE can stir different emotions due to their gender, as the audience can attach emotionally to women characters differently to how they attach to male characters.

Eg, Sasha might remind me of my ex, or little girls might see the dynamic between Bliss/Nia and be reminded of an outcast/popular girl at school, so they invest more easily.

A lot of it seems a bit forced but there's good talent there, I think the booking harms a lot of them. I mean in NXT the women are booked excellently and you can take it more seriously, on the main roster there's a lot of lazy booking and just throwing things together. They also need to stop being really patronising about the whole thing and just treat them as they do the men.

I agree that the women's revolution is forced as hell. especially during the Sasha and Charlotte feud. but some of the women are legitimately more enjoyable to watch right now than the men, but that has to do with booking. watching paint dry is more fun than watching some of the men in the WWE

4 Star rating? I'm impressed, but I'm sure most of the responses in this thread are from vaginas and cucks , so I can't arsed reading them.

To be fair, I don't actually mind females advocating for women's wrestling - that's understandable. It's heterosexual males who advocate for women's wrestling that bother me - they're the ones willingly cuckolding themselves to the feminist agenda, despite the fact that the woman are inferior to the males in every aspect of pro-wrestling.

Woman's rassling should never be anything more than an allotted piss break, unless it's a show specifically for female rasslers.

It's hard to watch at times.. They can put on decent matches here and there, but their presence is so awkward.. I don't buy any of them as tough chicks, not even Nia Jax.. Men are bigger draws than women, that's been proven, but there is a large portion of the fanbase that enjoy women's wrestling.. For me, if it's not Alexa Bliss, i don't want you on my TV.

I wish them nothing but success, although i'm not the biggest fan of women's wrestling in WWE, it doesn't hurt me if they become very successful.. I can always change the channel, everybody in life deserves to be successful at what they do.

Ronda Rousey broke down the illusion that woman in combat sports are not draws. She was their number one draw for a period of time before McGregor showed up.

Problem with WWE is they're pushing women with no actual talent for the sake of pushing women. They had a real shot of making Sasha, Becky, Charlotte and Bayley legitimate top of the card talent, but fucked it up and now they're back to where they were at the start. The Women's revolution regressed back into the Divas division.

Plus, Ronda never talked about making history, she just made it. Sasha's girl-power promos last year were cringe as fuck, which certainly didn't help the cause.
