mj2 How awful was it that WWE didn't utilize "Bully Ray?"

Granted maybe he could not be known as BULLY RAY due to copywrite issues, i dunno..but he still could have been a really good stand alone heel. I mean how hard would it have been to have him go solo and try it out. The guy was a fantastic heel, i thought, in TNA and could have done wonders. His mic work is solid and or least he could have been a great manager. Damn. LOL.

I remember that He said that WWE was close in letting him do the gimmick but it was canceled because of WWE bullying campaign.

It's unknown how good he could have been in WWE, but it's a damn shame they didn't even try with a singles run.

Spoiler for GOAT Meeting:

It ruined his return, at least for people who knew his new character. Just like Matt Hardy's return is ruined by his inability to use his broken character. At least with Matt, fans can still do the 'delete' chant. Without it, he's just a (ironically)broken wrestler who can barely wrestle anymore.

Thats what i figured. But he could have gone with a different name, but kept the same character. I mean for fks sake at least he would have made an amazing heel manager. He could have gotten over some younger guy. It was a missed golden opportunity i think. I mean they even allowed Matt to do mannerisms of Broken Matt, should have let Bubba Ray go heelish and do some sort of Bully character lol.

really? makes the whole JBL thing even more laughable, wont do storylines involving the concept of a bully will still employ a bully who has had a track record for bullying multiple people in real life where the whole anti bullying campaign really matters and applies to.

hypocrites. Happy to spread the message but dont actually follow the message.

Actually my thoughts on JBL situation is Vince and JBL himself doesn't think that what he is doing is bullying they are just thinking as having fun and joking around specially that they are used to the old school way and they think that people get it in a wrong way that is why we see old employees and wrestlers defend JBL because they know that he is just like that not that he means to bully someone even someone like Undertaker who was a locker room leader and always doing the right thing was close friend with JBL.

I'm not defending him but that is what I got from the whole JBL situation.

They were pushing kevin Owens as the "bully type" at the time and there was no reason to hurt his push for an older talent

That simple

I saw "Bully Ray" at a ROH/NJPW show a couple months ago and he was great!

I think they could defend mostly any type of bullying with that, Im sure its funny for the bully to do things to someone else, "oh I didnt realise it upset him, it was just a joke" is a classic line to excuse it as nothing more than a misunderstanding.

my old boss was much of the same and I didnt think twice to tell him he was a fucking prick for putting someone down about their weight, I cant tolerate putting people down for the sake of a laugh, always a difference between laughing with someone and laughing at them, easy to say you didnt know he didnt find it funny.
