You're glad the most over wrestler of the last 5-10 years had to retire, because the fans would still be cheering for him instead of the boring ass guys in the main event if Bryan was in the mid card? WTF?! Bryan would have elevated anyone he worked with. If the heel was barely over, after wrestling Bryan the guy would be alot more over, because Bryan was loved so much. And it would not have stopped anyone else from getting a top spot. AJ still would have had his run, but he would have had great matches against Bryan. Plus most people say Talking Smack sucks unless Bryan is there, so I dont see many people turning on him. And being happy someone got hurt is just a dick thing to say.

Your title does not "make sense". It's completely speculative and clearly biased. Sense implies you somehow know that Bryan would have sabotaged an AJ Styles match (a match AJ and Bryan want) or Nakamura etc.

Not to mention Bryan lost to Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Punk, Orton and Roman literally EVERY SINGLE time and never beat them. Don't forget Bryan made Batista tap.

So...no it does not make sense.

I don't think he was going to be a top guy for long. And I'm a huge fan of his and I'm saying this. He would have always been over but unless he ended up being the next Stone Cold that took wrestling to a new level he couldn't sustain how hot he was going into Wrestlemania 30. What happened heading into WM 30 is improbable to say the least. Nothing like that has ever happened before and I don't think it's ever going to happen again. He got a stadium of people that all knew wrestling was fake to care more about the outcome of a match than anything else.

"Not a hate thread", yet OP is apparently gleeful that Bryan suffered a career ending injury. There is a cancer in this thread, but it's not Bryan;it's the OP.

The underdog story was played out well but I absolutely hated the Yes Movement! gimmick. I prefer his heel runs on SD,
with AJ and Team Hell No. I don't really think he's overrated at all.
overall package? he was good in the ring but thats it, he looked like a goat and is skinny fat

Re: If Daniel Bryan was still wrestling in WWE, we wouldn't be having any new stars (Styles, BRAUN, etc) right now

Nobody knows what things would be like today if Daniel Bryan was still wrestling, but you can't honestly tell me that WWE wouldn't have new stars if he was still wrestling. WWE was already building up Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins while Bryan was still active, albeit he was out with an injury. They even had Bryan put over Reigns, and then he went after the Intercontinental Championship. What that tells me is that WWE had Bryan in a position where he could go between the Main Event and the Mid-Card. But I don't think Bryan would be hogging up the main event scene either.

AJ Styles wasn't even with WWE at the time, but I don't think Styles would have been affected by Bryan. In fact, I think it would have been great for them both. They could have been the Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart, or Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit of this era.

As for future stars. Well it's all up in the air for now, but Bryan could have helped elevate some new stars. In any case, WWE could have used Bryan over the last few years. There's plenty of room for him.

Favorite Wrestlers Of All Time - The Undertaker, The Rock, Chris Jericho and Edge

Current Favorite Wrestlers - AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe and Becky Lynch

Re: If Daniel Bryan was still wrestling in WWE, we wouldn't be having any new stars (Styles, BRAUN, etc) right now

1) Brand Extenstion. Yes we would have.

2) Who's Bryan going to wrestle? Yes we would have.

3) McMahon's history with Bryan shows he wouldn't have been in the main event scene very long. Yes we would have.

4) Wrestlemania 31 shows the fans hijacking Bryan into the main event was a one time fold by McMahon. Yes we would have.

5) AJ Styles got over on his unbelievable, some might say Phenomenal , talent, Bryan being there wouldn't change that. Yes we would have.

6) Wrestling needs characters of every size, shape, and style, i.e. Braun. Yes we would have.

7) Bryan still would have taken time off to start his family, leaving a gap for other people to get over. Yes we would have.

8) Every act gets stale, even if WWE did continue to push Bryan as a main eventer, they would have had to change things up eventually. Yes we would have.

9) If your theory is right then only one guy can be a star, and therefore with Roman being pushed as he is, the guys you mentioned wouldn't be stars, and yet they are. Yes we would have.

10) Bryan would have put on great matches with the guys you mentioned, and plenty of other guys, Bryan/Wyatt was literally Wyatt's last great one on one match, getting those guys even more over. Yes we would have.

Anyone who thinks WWE is better off without Daniel Bryan, the most over babyface since the Attitude Era, is wrong.

Once again, and finally, yes we would have. Your arguement is not just wrong, it's stupid.

No one else gonna put this mark in his place? Fine, I will.

It's time for you to face facts, who was Bryan competing with for popularity? The Shield (young trio)? The Wyatts (young trio)? CM Punk who had flattened out and become a top star? Cena, the man who had been top for a billion years? AJ Lee? Cesaro? Sheamus? R-Truth? Heel Orton? Heel Lesnar? That's all.

There's more fan favorites on the roster which has made it difficult for any big player to get that big. Bryan was an accident that came from the WWE trying to sabotage him, the company inadvertently made him big.

AJ, Jericho, KO, Rollins, The Hardys (appeal to casuals and are hot off the Broken shtick), New Day (over with all demos), Nakamura, Zayn, Balor, Braun, Roman (yes, he has fans), Ambrose, Bray, Cena, Orton, Lesnar, Sasha, Bayley, Alexa, Charlotte etc...

The sheer number of options make it incredibly difficult to get over huge unless you receive perfect booking which puts you above the rest.

The underdog shit was getting old anyway, I absolutely hated the yes dribble. Bryan was above it and the shtick would have lasted so long before fans deserted him for someone else - sorry mark, but that's just fact, it always happens. Bryan was the hot thing for the time before they moved onto someone else.

Same happened to Punk, Ambrose, Rollins and the same has happened to AJ, and will happen to Braun. Difference between those guys and Bryan was that Bryan got injured before someone properly surpassed him so we're living with this idea that Bryan was unrivaled and can't be matched, when you know deep down someone would have surpassed him if he stuck around.

I mean, what's the point in supporting the underdog when he's no longer the underdog? The moment Bryan became a top guy, a lot of his fans would have jumped onto Ambrose, Rollins, Roman or Bray. The yes shtick can be fun for so long before it becomes tired and obnoxious.

Best in a long time? LMAO that shit was overrated AF, it has nothing on Punk-Cena.
