No mention of house shows there. I don't know if it was clean but I assume it was. If Warrior never beat Andre clean I'll reconsider his title of kayfabe strongest wrestler.
He beat him in a squash match, but Andre raised hell after the match saying that the bell had never been rung. Warrior attacked him before his music had even stopped playing. Definitely questionable, but the announcers were saying that the pop for Warrior was so loud that Andre didn't hear the bell.

Brock beat Hogan via bear hug on Smackdown once. Beat Goldberg clean. Beat Rock, squashed Cena.

Yeah, I'm gonna say Brock.

If that's your criteria then Flair demolishes Cena. Flair is equal in number of WWE recognized reigns, but beats him if you count unrecognized reigns. Flair has over 3700 cumulative days while Cena has around 1500. I think it's safe to say that Cena dominated from 05-13. Flair dominated from 81-91. I added it up a while back and during those 10 years Ric was champion for 3010 days which is 8.25 cumulative years. This isnt even counting where he came to WWF in 92 as I don't think it's fair to automatically say he was the top guy. I consider his win over Vader similar to Cena's over AJ earlier this year.

Re: Who is the greatest wrestler in Kayfabe?

The Ultimate Warrior.

Not only he never lost clean but he never looked inferior to anyone.

- Goldberg could have won this if it wasn't for his last match against Brock.
- The Rock was booked inferior to Stone Cold and Brock Lesnar, also against Goldberg.
- Stone Cold even with all his mega push never dominate Triple H, also Brock Lesnar was booked as his superior.
- The Undertaker never could handled Brock Lesnar, in both runs.
- John Cena as FOTC was pinned clean by Triple H, Batista, Shawn Michaels.
- Andre The Giant was inferior to Hulk Hogan.
- Hulk Hogan was booked inferior than Sting, Bret Hart and in the middle of Hulkamania he was booked inferior to :

THE UTLIMATE WARRIOR

Roman Reigns.

No, hear me out.

Brock Lesnar is greater than Goldberg and Hogan.

Wrestlemania 34's main event for the Universal Championship will determine the kayfabe GOAT, and I expect Reigns to win.

The following criteria must be considered:

- big matches are like sporting stars playing well in championship matches. Nobody cares if Michael Jordan had a poor pre-season match, his championship matches hold more weight. Cena's loss to an old Rock rules him out for this reason. Undertaker shoots up the ranks for this reason. And house show losses don't matter.

- a long career is greater than a short career, in the same way having a great baseball season or two doesn't make you the greatest baseballer of all-time. The GOAT season is a different argument to the GOAT career.

- in kayfabe, WCW was a weaker competition than WWF/WWE. These last two points is why Goldberg is below Lesnar, and Warrior below Hogan.

- Goldberg's win over Lesnar at Survivor Series must factor in the shock element of Lesnar's cockiness. It doesn't mean Goldberg is better than Lesnar, since on the biggest stage, will at their tactical and mental peak, Lesnar won clean.

If Roman Reigns beats Brock Lesnar next year, then combined with his win over the Undertaker and main eventing WM four years in a row, it means he's on the verge of becoming the kayfabe GOAT.

Reigns would need to have a long title reign to consolidate that position.

Flair wrestled for a weaker company, in kayfabe. Cena's accomplishments are at a higher level and mean more.

On a separate note, I just realised that while Cena's uncharacteristic arrogance cost him against Rock the first time, their second match, for a championship, proved Cena is a better wrestler than the Rock when both are mentally at their absolute peak.

Cena's loss to Lesnar is the only sign that Lesnar is better, but I wasn't watching the product then so I don't know the circumstances of the loss.

If Reigns beats Lesnar, there might be enough doubt about Cena's standing to justify booking Reigns vs Cena as the match for the greatest of all time.

Cena could beat Lesnar after Reigns does to setup that match for WM35 for Cena's #17 , and if Cena wins, he'll be the undisputed GOAT.

Re: Who is the greatest wrestler in Kayfabe?

Kayfabe GOAT: The Undertaker (The streak and the only man to dominate in pretty much every era)

Real GOAT: Stone Cold

Sorry, but The Streak > Everything anyone else ever did in their careers.

Edit: oh, UnderGOATer is actually winning the poll. Good job, guys.
