Re: Who's your personal favorite between Rock, Austin, and Hogan.

The Rock. He was ridiculously charismatic and the absolute best on the mic, imo.

Stone Cold was amazing as well. With his rebel, i'll do whatever the fuck I want, beer drinking attitude. He pretty much revolutionized the McMahon character as well.

Hulk Hogan.. Couldn't care less for.

Re: Who's your personal favorite between Rock, Austin, and Hogan.

These are always generational questions. I did not live to witness Hogan's era so I can't say Hogan. I started to watch in 2002 so I say The Rock because he got me interested in the product with his personality. But if I was kid in the 80's I think I would have been a huge Hogan mark.

Edit. Do this poll in 10 years and Cena would be winning the poll over Austin and The Rock. Although I think that Austin, The Rock and Hogan are pretty much objectively better than Cena. Cena has his charity work etc. but he did not have the personality to connect with all the fans.

I will probably say The Rock now, but he's neck and neck with Austin.

The Rock. He's the best one.

Re: Who's your personal favorite between Rock, Austin, and Hogan.

Stone Cold Steve Austin easily and I'm not surprised to see he's winning the poll.

Austin is the complete package and the perfect wrestler. He's everything you want in a wrestler and more. Rock and Hogan are great too but they have some flaws that prevent them from being a complete package like Austin. Austin is the greatest wrestler that ever lived. Sure Hogan putting WWE on the map is great but Austin saved WWE's asses from going into the ground, which is a more impressive accomplishment and if Austin hadn't been there to do that, Hogan and pro-wrestling in general today would be completely forgotten about and never talked about like we do on these forums today, and The Rock would never have become the big movie star he has become and WWE wouldn't be where it is today. Wrestling would be dead with WWE, WCW and ECW all going out of business.

The Rock is my second favourite wrestler of all time behind Austin. While I take Austin over Rock, both Austin and Rock made the wrestling world forget about Hogan in the Monday Night Wars and Austin & Rock are overall bigger than Hogan. Hogan is really only big in the US, Austin and Rock are big in the US and both are bigger than Hogan here in the UK and have been since the 90's.

I like Hogan but it's really only Hollywood Hogan that I have ever loved about him. I mean I liked the Red and Yellow but just not as much as the Black and White. NWO Hogan was far too cool and entertaining but just not as much as Austin and The Rock.

Re: Who's your personal favorite between Rock, Austin, and Hogan.

My favorite of the 3 is Hulk Hogan. I started watching wrestling during his era, so, he was the first of those three I followed each week. A lot of people underestimate Hogan's abilities and don't really understand that his lack of in ring abilities in the WWF was because he was forced to be limited. The worst that can happen is your biggest name gets injured.

If people watch Hogan's time in Japan, I think many will be surprised at just how much better he is than they thought. He made a huge impact on the sport, and, a solid wrestling fan will appreciate that, regardless of whether they like him or not. It's not about liking or hating, it's just about giving credit where it is due.

I enjoyed all three wrestlers, though, and they all had an impact on the sport and were some of the best characters in the business.

I think most of the answers in the thread will be based on when people started to watch wrestling and who they grew up with. A lot of members are younger and grew up in the Attitude Era, so, they unfortunately missed Hogan's time (besides Hollywood Hogan and just a bit of old school Hogan when he came back).

Ric Flair, you once called me a woman. Well, what I want to know is, how does it feel to get beat by a woman?

Although I understand how iconic and successful Hulk Hogan is, I just dont enjoy his work. His in ring work or his promos or anything about him werent really for me.

I love the Rock but whenever I feel like watching some badass attitude era moments, I always turn to an Austin segment. Everything about him, his look, his promos, his pops were just amazing and I loved every kickass segment he has. The Rock schtick, although great, got redundant for me real fast.
