Turn them heel, but why not bad ass face?

Notice I didn't say anti-hero, but that I could never rule that type out of the conversation, but Jay Briscoe isn't in the WWE and he is literally the only person in the world who could genuinely pull this type of role off. This isn't a thread about him, or anti heroes. Most of the time I see that people are quick to request that some failing "face" turn heel. I am here today to ask, "why not give them a bad ass face role?" because as far as I know they have the talent to do so. Take for example Roman Reigns. I realize that this is the PG era, but that shouldn't exclude this type of role.

Honestly, it's not just Roman Reigns either. It could have been Ryback as well. How about Braun Strowman? Look at what made Goldberg so credible. He was a total bad ass. It doesn't just have to be about looking like a monster. HBK and Austin were bad ass types, but in a whole different way. Goldberg, Taker, Lesnar, The Road Warriors, Macho Man, just to name a few. I find it to be very annoying when a face star is just turned heel because there is nothing else going on. There is plenty of talent that could take on the various, or many ways to play out this multi dynamic character, or personality.
