None of those guys will ever do anything meaningful in the WWE. They probably wont even make it to the main roster. This is purely about paying chump change by the WWEs standards to control the UK scene and keep it from growing independently of them.
I kinda took the opposite stance as this from the UK Tournament. I was very quick to shoot from the hip and cite doom and gloom myself at first but the more I watch from NJPW, PROGRESS, Lucha Underground and other such indys, WWE is just so irrelevant today. It's always gonna be the biggest, it's always going to be the thing the industry is always striving for at least for our life time but you no longer NEED the WWE. The WWE buys out a British talent but the Indy's will make someone new. They had no problem doing it before, why would it somehow be different now? The idea of a full territory buyout like the WWE did back in the day is just impossible today.
