Sounds to me like he didn't have a problem with the elbows, as he seems to be considering the concussion as just another one of the risks of the business, like any other injury. Was it ill-advised? Maybe, considering his history with them. But these guys face the possibility of a career-ending injury every time out there, and right or wrong, he looked at the elbows as just one more risky spot. His own RKO out of nowhere is just as risky if he or his opponent lands wrong; if he's going to avoid all concussion risks, he may as well just quit now. No, if he had any issue, it's with how the match went in general up to that point. "I could have looked a little better that night" sounds eerily similar to what Ambrose had to say after his match with the fucking oaf.
