"The look" is becoming a thing from the past.

Neither of our champions have the look.
Im not talking about in ring talent or charisma just "the look".

Kevin Owens is sorry but fat, Sasha and Charlotte though attractive are nowhere near as attractive as Eva Marie or Mandy Rose,Asuka? No, Nakamura? he wouldnt have been a mid carder 10 years ago, Slater looks like regular guy, very thin and Rhyno looks like crap TBH, The New day? every member is small and neither of them screams "main eventer" look wise meanwhile wrestlers who have the look are just mid carders, guys like Cesaro, Sheamus, American Alpha, Apollo Crews and Rusev are just "there".
that goes to show you that the look is no longer that relevant.

Good ratings are becoming a thing of the past as well. It isn't a coincidence.

Re: "The look" is becoming a thing from the past.

''The look'' hasn't really been a thing since the 80s. Bret, Shawn, Angle, Mysterio, JBL etc were all world champions throughout the 90s and 2000s. None of those guys are big and muscular, if that's the look you're referring to. Every now and then Vince will still try to push a big guy, sure, but other body types have been getting pushes for many years.

Funny you say that when half of the people here if not more keep saying "Roman is being pushed because of his look" "John Cena is the face of WWE because of his look" "HHH and Vince only push bodybuilders"

Re: "The look" is becoming a thing from the past.

There is nothing wrong with the look.

It's the pushing of talentless guys who were big.

Larger than life characters will always be needle pushers in wrestling. I can totally see the rating downfall and less guys with "the look" linking together for sure.

Re: "The look" is becoming a thing from the past.

So hold up, the New Day are all "small" and have no "look" but American Alpha have the look? Have you ever actually seen Big E or Chad Gable or are you just talking shit to appeal to the anti-smark sentiment here these days to try and look cool? How do you define "the look" by the way? Is it ripped muscles popping out everywhere like Batista? If so SCSA, Ric Flair and Randy Savage looked like tiny plebs in comparison. Is it like the Rock, pretty and athletic? If so Kane, Big Show, and the Undertaker look like ugly, clumsy giants in comparison. The problem with the notion of "the look" is that the vast majority of the biggest wrestlers in history bear little to no resemblance to each other in size, shape or attractiveness. "The look" is a total myth. Every huge roided dude with fake tan is not Hulk Hogan. Every bald guy with a beard and muscles isn't SCSA or Goldberg. Every athletic samoan guy isn't the Rock.

Roman: Yes. Even from the start it was obvious that he was Vince's next pet project and back then he was even more limited in the ring and on the mic. Look was all he had.
Cena: Partially, but his charisma and drawing power were/are bigger factors in his continued dominance.

Anyone saying that HHH only pushes bodybuilders is just insane or blindly spouting the opinions of bitter smarks. Just look at NXT's past and current biggest stars: Owens, Balor, Zayn, Joe, Nakamura, Roode.

They can still get good ratings. I mean The Walking Dead and The Big Bang Theory have millions of viewers watching their show every week.

The look isn't just being big and muscular though, the look is looking like a star, looking larger than life.
