If they turned SDL into 2 hours of nothing but Maryse standing there being sexy they could sustain the brand split forever.

Alternatively the second hour can see her lay down.

And everyone else can fill out Raw.

Re: Realistically How Long Can The Brand Split Survive With The Current Rosters?

I think the call ups of guys like : Nakamura,Samoa Joe,Rhoode and all the wrestlers you mentioned will help! But let's be honest here.. It won't have a effect like a Lesnar or Undertaker returns.

But man , right now it's terrible. There is litterally 2-3 Main Eventers on both shows. It makes no sense at all. They need to sign some old timers like Kurt Angle,Shelton Benjamin,The Hardyz(i don't know?) and some NXT call ups.

But my guess is : We'll have to wait until Royal Rumble!!!

Be strong guys.

The roster split is something that WWE is not going to mess with anytime soon. I think we can expect a call-up at the beginning of the year to lead into the Royal Rumble. They have a lot of good names coming, but it won't make any difference if the booking is crap. I mean, Smackdown has American Alpha and they continue to do nothing with them. It is really something to behold as they are such an awesome throwback to those late 80s early 90s NWA/WCW tag teams, yet modern enough not to be a parody.

At the end of the day, RAW is unwatchable crap and Smackdown seems to be only slightly better. I haven't watched a full show of either in months, but judging by the recaps/reports, RAW really sucks bad and Smackdown is a bit better.

Then the NXT roster is massively depleted and they have to look for replacements if they want people to continue to care about it. Its just a constant juggling act with a pretty limited amount of talent. Its not like there are tons of big names left outside of the WWE for them to sign anymore either.

Broken Matt Hardy on SDL be gold. A feud with Bray would be must see television.

Re: Realistically How Long Can The Brand Split Survive With The Current Rosters?

they cant. even if you add a ton of guys, people dont understand that psychologically a brand split really tarnishes the product with kayfabe. Unless you're stacked to your neck with dozens of legit all-stars, like in the beginning, all you end up doing is creating a ton of B+ stars, rather than a ton of A+ stars.

Think about it.... is Kevin Owens career any more different now that he's Universal Champ? No. I mean, not at all! now imagine if this were the same company we've had for the past few years and he ended up beating a guy like Reigns for the ONE TRUE BELT... NOWWWWWWWWWWWWW we're talking big time status. When you're the true kayfabe champion of the company, that means something, and as fans we know it.

Right now we have 4 champions who all pretty much feel like the same rank, and what does that do? The buzz for rumble goes down the toilet, the buzz for money in the bank goes down the toilet...and this goes for the tag and women's belt too.

now with the women, this does finally force the WWE to have more than 1 woman storyline going on at once (although now we have 4+...so that indicates they could've done the same without a brand split).

i hate hate hate hate hate hate hate it

I don't have a clue what you're on about? AJ is definitely above every other champion on the roster. The only one who comes close is Roman and that's because of his booking.

That said, I would love to see another match between the two sometime next year.

The WWE champion v US Champion
