Re: Why do the fans want to make themselves the show?
Honestly, it can be a combination of many things. Fans today are definitely lower quality human beings than fans of 20 years ago. It used to be you were going to a wrestling show to have a good time, not to try and BE the wrestling show, it's like the geekiest shit I've ever seen in my life. What disgusts me about is they think they're being like the rebel "cool" fans of the late 90s in ECW, but what they aren't getting is the ECW crowd legitimately WAS part of the show, and loved every performer on the show, whether they chanted funny/ignorant shit at them or not. Crowds today do it to be disruptive, or rebel against an invisible threat, while still buying NXT tickets and thinking they're the coolest people in the world for it
But back to what I mean by the combination of things, at the end of the day, the show fucking SUCKS. A big reason the fans are so bored and disruptive is because the WWE can't hold their interest anymore. And because their performers fucking SUCK at working crowds, too. You didn't see crowds doing this shit years ago, because they were actually entertained and invested in the show. Now they're bored out of their minds because they're sitting there for over 3 hours a night watching endless filler garbage, and getting slapped in the face with WWE propaganda at all times. What idiot pays money for this shit? I wouldn't attend Wrestlemania for free at this point because they don't deserve me filling a seat for them.
Yeh, well in defense of these fans I agree. I also believe that the show is so bad that I find it hard to blame them. I still think they should just NOT GO in that case. Rather than go and try to become the show. The show sucks is the main culprit but there are other factors at play here
