Re: Favourite Feud of the year/Most hated Feud of the year
Best is either AJ/Cena or AJ/Roman. Miz/Dolph is also quite good.
Worst...oh there's a bunch. From a quality standpoint, its technically Young vs Titus. However, as an example of everything that is wrong with WWE in 2016, I've gotta go with Shane vs Taker. And here's why:
1. Taker has only a few WMs left in him and you waste one of them on Shane fucking McMahon? That right there is enough.
2. The whole story was retarded. Shane has this deus ex machina piece of incriminating evidence he's using to extort Vince. Now, instead of being smart and using it to get what he wants, he risks it in a wrestling match...brilliant move, its always great to have a stupid babyface. So then Vince gives him a match at Mania where if Shane wins, he controls Raw, and if he loses, he gives the evidence back. Vince picks Undertaker as his representative. The whole thing sucked and was stupid, and it led to us seeing way too many of those oh-so-great Shane punches where Taker had to sell for that goofball. And finally, the Cell match sucked and was a waste of the stipulation.
3. Why did Taker give even an inkling of a fuck about McMahon family bullshit? Why did he agree to wrestle Shane on Vince's behalf? Taker had no stake, he should have said "fuck off, I'm not a part of this, go bother someone else." And the whole feud, Taker even said "I don't like you Vince, I don't care about your problems, but I'll wrestle Shane anyway." The hell?
4. Finally, Shane loses. So he has to give the evidence back and leave. Nah, just kidding. Vince gives him control of Raw anyway, and Shane just hangs around, eventually scoring Smackdown as a show to run. They didn't even wait 24 hours to break their own stipulation. And for those of you who really cared about the outcome? Fuck you, it didn't matter anyway. Great message to send to your fans on the heels of your biggest show ever, allegedly. You could tell from the get go that this was their plan all along. Yet they promised something anyway, despite not having any intention of delivering on it. You know who else used to do that? WCW, that company you ridicule for being inferior and losing the MNWs to you. WWE is in no position to be casting aspersions on WCW when they pull the same shit.
As you can tell, I wasn't a fan.
