Tho I agree he should of main evented wm31 and I was pulling for him to win that rumble as well, but look on the bright side. The man became a grand slam champion by winning the IC title that night and would if been the face of smackdown had he not gotten hurt.

I'll have to politely disagree on this, unless by top star you meant only Cena-Rock-Austin-Hogan level of top stars, in which case you're right, but even said that, Roman seems far from the established top dog those guys were, so right now it just seems another attempt to get him more over while pretending to not push him.

My definition of main event, especially since the WWE title started to not be the main event (Punk playing second fiddle to Cena vs Laurinatis everyone?), doesn't permit me to say he is out of the main event. If he was out, his feud with Rusev would have taken the same amount of screen time of Rusev's feud with Titus or Kalisto. That's being out of the main event for me; if you still take as much time, and are booked as much strongly as before (a little less, admittedly, but still Rusev looked like his bitch), it means that you are still the main focus.
I think the problem is that Roman has already crossed a certain threshold of no return, and people are still fighting that losing battle or holding out hope that something that has already happened won't come to fruition. Roman's already been solidified as a permanent fixture at the top of the company. He's Raw's biggest full-time star, and he'll continue to be used in a prominent way as he should be. Somehow this whole concept is hard for some to comprehend. Roman isn't some green as grass scrub anymore. His place is already set, and short of something criminal, injury, or worse, it's not changing.

People were complaining that Roman was main eventing which means having the final segment on the show, and that can't be argued because that's exactly what they were whining about; Roman closing the show. So then Roman opened the show and then everyone complained that he got to open it. So it doesn't matter where he is on the card, unless he's treated like an afterthought these whiners will never be satisfied. You'd think these people would be glad the US title is off the preshow and finally the top title doesn't have to get overexposed. But no. Roman hate comes first over all logic and reason, as usual.

He will be until they set free Big Cass in a few years. If the big guys become a competent to good wrestler, Reigns is out(as "the guy", main eventer is set)

Because some people on here and other places have made it into a gimmick where no matter what Reigns does people will hate him for no apparent reason. Reigns could be as great in the ring as Bret Hart and as good on the mic as The Rock and people will still hate him. They have to keep up with their gimmick of hating Reigns. They can't dare give him any props for anything he does.

Re: The Observer: WWE is sitll committed to pushing Roman Reigns as the top guy of the company

I don't buy this at all. This is typical Meltzer. He's just trying to get the smarks all bent out of shape over Reigns. It's clear after that sit down interview with Cole that WWE has plans for Reigns and the US Championship. So he'll probably be defending that title at WM 33 or challenging for it. Reigns being the US Champion is actually WWE's subtle way of pandering to hardcore fans because he's NOT in the hunt for the main title on RAW.

On the other hand...

I see a potential storyline brewing between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns ó who is the dominant champion on RAW? Which championship has more prestige? This could culminate at WM in a champion vs champion, title for title match. I know this idea probably makes most of you sick

I think Reigns being on SDL would of helped him more. Cena could of been on MNR.
