Re: Your honest thoughts on Triple H?

He's definitely a main event talent and was very over 2000-2002 but he's had way too many big wrestlemania matches and world title runs.

1.Rock
2.Austin
3.Bret Hart
4.Kevin Nash
5.Scott Hall

Re: Your honest thoughts on Triple H?

for all his being an egomaniacal dickface he still showed up and put in the work for 20+ years of tours, TV, PPVs and house shows, he deserves credit for that

There has been an AEWakening... have you felt it?

Re: Your honest thoughts on Triple H?

Outside of his golden year in 2000 where he killed it, I always thought of him as a the perfect Heel.

He is awesome when he is with someone really good, he can have the good promos and he can incredible matches but for some reason, I just can't get invested in him when he is against people who are not so good. If he is the one that have to carry the feud, I just can't get into it but if he can feud with a good face that I can get into ( Daniel Bryan for exemple ), I'm gonna love love love Triple H

He wouldn't be leading WWE in the future, that is certain. But he still would have become a regular main eventer since he got Vince's attention early on. He'd still have had several World titles. Maybe not 14-15, but several nonetheless. I bet he'd have gotten an Undertaker type of role from the mid-late 2000s on. And wouldn't have gone over in as many feuds as he did after the AE.

HHH is a big draw and merch seller, but clearly has never left much of a mark in the mainstream, it seems. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm sure he is a famous wrestler in comparison to most wrestlers on the planet, but if I were a betting man, I'd say guys like Macho Man, André the Giant, Roddy Piper, Ultimate Warrior, Jake the Snake, Undertaker, Goldberg, Stone Cold and Cena are more recognisable to non-wrestling fans than HHH is. And I'm not even gonna mention Hogan and Rock, since no way HHH or hell, anyone of this list except for Giant in his prime and maybe Austin and Cena in their prime can compete with them as far as mainstream exposure goes.

One of the top 3 heels of all time. If you watched week to week back in the late 90's to mid 2000's, you know it to be true.

Re: Your honest thoughts on Triple H?

He doesn't have an in ring character. He doesn't move in a unique way, he has no unique mannerisms, he has barely two signature moves, he didn't have a unique catchphrase for almost 15 years, except the DX stuff that is not his own.
Wrestlemania 32 was headlined by the two most boring main eventers since the Attitude Era.

Re: Your honest thoughts on Triple H?

Meh. I am not saying he didn't deserve to be the World's Champion a couple of times but seriously 13 fucking times ? Has a good body (I don't know to what extent its natural though cause he looked really really soft when he was young and an active wrestler whilst the testing policy was strict), a good look but very mediocre in the ring. Add to that he seems like a total douche. He goes around saying he practically thought about pro-wrestling all the time, yet when he finds someone more genuinely passionate than him, he says shit like "you know uhhhh he takes things uhhh too seriously uhhh!" Very few wrestlers who are not on the WWE payroll have anything nice to say about his behaviour as a professional.

He has somehow reached the top where he can control the careers of everybody who wants to make it big in this business by playing the game. I'll wait and see before I make any critical statements on his true intentions with respect to his sudden love for "indy darlings".

Parking $10, Program $5, ticket $35, watching Bret Hart wrestle.......PRICELESS!!!

Doesn't "I am The Game And I am that damn good!" count as a catchphrase?

I've seen some shoots on Triple H and who says bad things about him? I can think of Bret Hart, the New Age Outlaws some years ago, Hardcore Holly, Ivory and who else? Even Jim Cornette says he is the guy who works with the big draws. And the most negative criticism he makes about him is the fact that he wouldn't be as overpushed if he had never married Stephanie McMahon.

I remember Alberto Del Rio leaving WWE at one time because he considered HHH openly racist... but he ended up coming back so who knows.

I'm not even defending HHH, but I doubt he is as disliked by his colleagues as a whole as one thinks he is.

Re: Your honest thoughts on Triple H?

I've always been apathetic to Triple H, even during his heyday from 99 - 01.
