Post-Match Interview?

Just came across my mind, but how come WWE has never utilized post-match, in-ring interviews?UFC and boxing both do this, as well as regular sports but that's neither here nor there, and some legendary promos have been cut after the match, like Tyson's 'I'm just ruthless' and Brock did some of his best promos in those moments in the UFC, but WWE has never (as far as I know, I can't really recall much) done this.

Would you like post-match, in ring promos/interviews?

I'd like to hear some of your opinions.

That just dawned on me as well. I wonder if they don't trust the guys to remember their 6-page written promo after the match, and I'm sure they don't have the confidence in guys to give a promo in that adrenaline-fueled state.

A lot of people say they enjoy the short clips that get thrown up on YouTube after the match where the guys are given leeway, I assume.

Just seems like a more organic way for a guy to cut a promo instead of just randomly strolling to the ring and taking up time.

Watch Smackdown cause Ryder does one. It came out of the blue but I thought it worked.

Even those youtube vids aren't that good in my opinion. There is no one who has the natural ability or charisma to cut promos the way HBK, Austin, Rock, HHH, Flair, Hogan, and so on did back in the day.

Rollins and Owens seem to have a bit of edge about them but even then, they never seem to be bale to reach that upper level.

Re: Post-Match Interview?

I'd definitely like to see more backstage promos/interviews & less long drawn out in ring promos. Some of those fallout promos have been pretty decent, so it'd be nice if they actually showed them on tv rather than sticking them up on youtube. Showing them on Raw instead of all the pointless recaps would also be a better use of their time.

Re: Post-Match Interview?

They used to do this a lot in 2014, especially with The Shield. The main drawback is the fatigue causing the wrestlers to pant in between sentences.

Re: Post-Match Interview?

They don't trust their guys with a fresh brain to go out and cut "from the heart" promos. The writers/Vince's brains will explode if they try to speak on a mic after a match.

Re: Post-Match Interview?

Well, they just used it last night on Smackdown with Ryder. They utilize it every now and again. Any more than that would be overkill for me. Maybe reserve it for title changes or big wins like King of the Ring or Money in the Bank.
