They both absolutely suck in the ring.

He gets handpicked opponents who are great workers and can walk him through the best matches possible.

Dean Ambrose does not get this benefit. Dean Ambrose is also a hardcore maniac, yet the WWE doesn't allow him to do half of the shit he wants to do. Look at the Brock/Ambrose match for example. Look what happens to Roman when he's facing an average worker in a non-gimmick match, like HHH at Wrestlemania. How'd that work out? Meanwhile, put Dean Ambrose in a match with an average worker in a non-gimmick like HHH, and he delivers a great match.

Roman's "good ring work" is all predicated on working with guys who are EXCELLENT at selling. AJ Styles has had good matches with every person in the company so far. Rollins is one of the best in the world.

Ambrose hasn't been "great" in the ring, but he also isn't allowed to do half of the shit he wants to do in the ring. And he also doesn't have an entire roster of guys who are ordered to sell their asses off for him to make him look strong. I can't believe how hard some of you get worked by WWE, that you actually think Reigns is a good wrestler to the point of talking down about guys who have been wrestling since their teens Like it's fucking hilarious.
People also like to hold that Asylum match against him, as if anyone could've produced an entertaining match with those circumstances.
A-C-P and Shenroe like this.

That was the stupidest match idea I've ever seen. And it was with an ancient Jericho working a style he's never worked (just because Jericho has to do everything nowadays to put people over).

Roman had the Mania main event and he put on a worst of all time match. You can cite any Dean Ambrose match, none of them were as awful as that piece of shit joke of a match. With a guy Ambrose worked a much better match with two weeks before.

This is why I say the "You can't wrestle" chants are justified. Mania was Roman Reigns TRYING to wrestle. That was a strict wrestling match (which HHH generally sucks at, too). And it was fucking dreadful. But hey, put Roman in there with amazing sellers like AJ/Rollins, who can do all kinds of crazy bumps and make him look like a million bucks, and all of a sudden "Roman can wrestle".

When it comes to actual wrestling matches, not gimmick spotfests with amazing workers, Roman Reigns fucking sucks. Dean Ambrose doesn't.

Ambrose was talked about for months as being THE guy WWE should be building around as their top babyface. The second he won the title, I knew people would start to turn on him and make it seem like he's undeserving and that Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and the Cesaro's of the world should be champion. Then when/if one of them become champ, the endless cycle of hypocrisy and flip flopping will continue.

You know what it also was? A hardcore match, the type of match that Ambrose has put good ones on with the likes of Owens and Rollins and yet I've read people on here state that those type of matches "don't count". Meanwhile, Reigns is great because he "carried" Big Show in a Last Man Standing match, aka a hardcore match. So it only counts against Ambrose when the hardcore match sucks but not towards his favor for the many good ones he's had.

That HHH match was also the icing on the cake. They both have to do the job of working with him in a one on one match, against a man that can't do amazing sells or bumps, and Reigns stank up the joint while "Lunatic Cringe" Dean Ambrose outworked him. Of course, that never gets brought up either.

Some of Reigns marks better thank their lucky fucking stars for all of the "vanilla midgets" that they routinely shit on, ESPECIALLY AJ Styles, otherwise, Reigns' "overrated" resume would never come to be. Rollins wasn't due to come back after the horrendous trainwreck of a main event Reigns had against Triple H and without Styles, who would Reigns have to work with that would give him ring cred? All in all, I don't think Reigns is that bad at all. He's an alright worker. Nothing amazing or incredible but he can look better by working with the Rollins', the Styles', and the Bryan's of the world, something that Dean has proven he can do without.

I don't get it either. The Show/Reigns match wasn't even good, it was okay. And when you take away the gimmick, those two had like 10 AWFUL matches before and after that. But since it was Roman Reigns we had to hear about how "Roman carried Big Show to the best match of his career!" As if Show never worked a decent match in his 20 year career.

Reigns having a good match is all predicated on the guy he's working with, and the lengths WWE goes to to protect him from having bad matches. Ambrose, on the other hand, is expected to go in there and work good matches with everybody. There is no initiative to "make Dean look strong" from his opponents.

Dean's still better than Reigns will ever be.

The only hypocrisy I see is the haters trashing Roman's lack of mic skills and dismissing his ring work while giving other workrate guys a pass for being bad on the mic. Before, the sentiment was ring skills> mic skills/charisma on this forum. But now that Ambrose is champion, I see the same fans saying "No one cares about ring work. Dean is so much better on the mic and more charismatic/better character than Roman." You can't choose to care about mic skills only when it concerns Reigns that's just stupid.

I can't emphasis how much I hate Roman (well, mostly just the push he gets). But yeah. At least Roman can have good matches. Dean wrestles like Ashley Messaro lol
