There Should Be More World Title Changes In B-Level PPVs

Mostly, the major title changes happen either Wrestlemania or Summerslam and sometimes, we get them at Survivor Series and rarely at the Royal Rumble.

However, there are several PPVs in-between and it would be nice and quite unpredictable if we see a major title change like on Battleground perhaps. That could spice things up and having the whole: "OH! Anything could happen in the WWE!!!"

Do you agree that world titles could change hands between the big 4 PPVs?

That way Roman can surpass Flair by the end of the year. You're hired boy! :vince5

BTW in the recent years this happened quite a few times:

WM32, Royal Rumble, RAW, Survivor Series, WrestleMania 31, SummerSlam, Money in the Bank, Raw, WM30, Hell in a Cell, Raw, NoC, SummerSlam, WM29.

If they learned anything from Mania, it should have been from the Ladder Match. Like hey, trying to surprise people CAN still work. One of their biggest issues is that they have their plans set in stone in their heads, and don't want to change them for anyone or anything. Rollins had to hold the belt for 6 months so he could drop it to Roman, which ignored how over Ambrose was, and how he should have definitely took the belt off of him. There's no hope now, Reigns is already a 3 time champ in less than 6 months so they're going to force a really, really long reign out of him. Which is going to feel 10 times longer than it actually is, since he might just be worse than HHH in 2003.

I think it should be more common. The only major issue is for this year the WWE Title and the WWE Women's Title are locked up in trying to establish new top stars, so we can't really afford a lot of hot potatoisms at the moment. Roman can't really prove his worth as champ if he's not champ for a certain period of time (especially since the criticism of Roman Reigns PEAKS more when he is chasing the title than when he's actually champion, ironically) and the womens title is BRAND SPANKING new so when it changes hands first, it needs to be a big deal like it was a struggle.

Wouldn't be surprised if both titles changed hands at SummerSlam.

It's an unfortunate scenario, but you are still right OP, at the concept.

It should happen more when there is room for it.

There is a new era of main eventers coming through, therefore it's best to have fewer title changes for now.

I'll play devil's advocate here. More surprise changes means retaining at WM and SummerSlam more often... but they're usually the big payoff after a long journey. That's how you're supposed to get people invested - if Ambrose won a surprise title the first month he was hot then you wouldn't get as many people crying out for him to win it this year.

So you need to hold back, maintain credibility of the title, and have long payoffs when everybody is watching... just have 1-2 surprise changes every couple of years (like Roman on Raw) and that's enough surprise IMO.
