Re: Wrestlers that don't have haters

I've never heard of a Ricky Steamboat hater. But he probably did have his haters back in the day. "People think he had the "best match at WM3"? Fkn smarks. Doing fancy moves doesn't make you a good wrestler. He looks like a midget. My grandma could probably beat him up. Hulk Hogan and Andre, those guys are real wrestlers." Or sth like that...

be your own hero

Re: Wrestlers that don't have haters

LOL no, Undertaker shouldn't get a prominent match on the card at Wrestlemania even after he proves year in, year out that fans flock to see anything he's a part of. Just reading on twitter how many overseas fans are pissed and trying to get refunds because Undertaker is no longer advertised for their shows is hilarious.

It's like: Undertaker in a big match at WM in Texas- "ca-ching" fans whip out their money, his axxess appearance sells out in seconds, fans book flights

or Joe "good hand" Schmo who gets a pleasant enough applause at the end of his matches, he should be at the top of the card because he's been "working hard" all year. It's only fair right?

Many of you prove everytime you post and make these arguments that you don't understand how this business works. It's NOT about fair. It's about $$$$$$$$$$$$. That's why so many storylines don't make sense. It's because they push and present in ways that will make them the most profit. Continuity be damned.

At least with guys like Undertaker you can rest assured that in these cases the show is promoting in a big match someone who HAS more than pd his dues. He's someone who more than any other active wrestler single-handedly contributed to making the Wrestlemania brand what it is today. It's because of the efforts and performances of wrestlers like Taker for so many years that other younger guys have the opportunity to be featured in such a conglomerate week-long event and have the chance to make their biggest $$ of the year.

Taker was full-time (live events and all) for this company for two decades with his longest break in that time only being less than 8 months. Even after all of this time with age and slowing down his connection to his character and ability to get in the ring and come through on a big stage and perform something entertaining for the fans is top-notch. There are very few talents that have that innate quality as a performer and can come through time and again on such a big stage every year like he can. If you want to argue the Rock or "The Legends-" HBK, Foley, Austin and how they were used this year than you have a point. How anyone can argue Undertaker after all he's done having a big match on the show when he was the only legend on the show who went out and did 30 min. in a cell match is beyond me.

And Wrestlemania 1 sucks. It really is one of the most unwatchable 2 hours of utter shit I've ever experienced as a wrestling fan. If you're happy watching that kind of awful bullshit, more power to you. Personally, it makes me want to die.

Have you ever seen Wrestlemania 11? Lawrence Taylor was a big draw. Watch his match with Bigelow. Come back and tell me that he deserved the main event.

Yeah, 'cause a cleaner and a wrestler are the same thing.

But when's it going to end?

He's earned the right to appear at Mania more than Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns, Owens, etc.
Undertaker has done nothing but bury younger guys. Throughout his entire career I can think of maybe a handful of people he ever put over cleanly, even late into his career. Undertaker, just like Vince McMahon, is a relic of a bygone age that has no place in the modern world of wrestling. The sooner both of them leave, the better.

Pretty much. The only difference is some wrestlers have more and they are more vocal.

Very short list...

Even Bryan and CM Punk had haters. Can't think of others who were close.
Your list is wrong, your premise is fictional, your thread is a waste. There is no one in the histroy of WWE that hasn't had detractors.

What say you?

Re: Wrestlers that don't have haters

They all have haters. It's a big world. No matter how good you are someone out there is bound to hate you for some stupid reason. I still can't for the life of me can't figure out why some people could hate Daniel Bryan. Most people who hate him anyways are jackoffs who's favorite wrestler is John Cena and they have a big Ryback poster in there room.
