So tired of this 'he deserves it for working hard' crap, that is not what wrestlemania is about - Mr T headlined wrestlemania one for fucks sake
And Wrestlemania 1 sucks. It really is one of the most unwatchable 2 hours of utter shit I've ever experienced as a wrestling fan. If you're happy watching that kind of awful bullshit, more power to you. Personally, it makes me want to die.
You know who actually deserves prominent roles at wrestlemania? People who draw money.
Have you ever seen Wrestlemania 11? Lawrence Taylor was a big draw. Watch his match with Bigelow. Come back and tell me that he deserved the main event.
This 'oh hes tried really hard' shit is what lead to Zack fucking Ryder winning the IC title at mania for fucks sake.
And this whole 'only big draws are important at Wrestlemania' bullshit is why we had to endure a fucking 20 minute Rock segment at Wrestlemania rather than, shit, I don't know ... an actual fucking wrestling match.
How far do people want to take this 'oooh hes there all year working really hard' stuff anyway ? I hear that one of the cleaners at Titan Towers has worked really hard all year so maybe put him in the main event with Dolph Ziggler?
Yeah, 'cause a cleaner and a wrestler are the same thing.
For all your talk of Takers WM spot going to guys who work those 300 days a year...surely after working those 300 days a year for about 2 decades earns The Undertaker some respect and the right to have an easier schedule.
But when's it going to end?
Undertakers respect doesn't come at the expense of young guys, if anything the fans marking for the young guys and turning on veteran performers comes at the expense of the respect for people like The Undertaker. Do you genuinely have an issue with a guy who has devoted over 3 decades to entertaining the fans, a guy who has suffered numerous injuries in entertaining us, in him sticking around and performing a few times a year? He's earned the right to appear at Mania more than Rollins, Ambrose, Reigns, Owens, etc.
Undertaker has done nothing but bury younger guys. Throughout his entire career I can think of maybe a handful of people he ever
put over cleanly, even late into his career. Undertaker, just like Vince McMahon, is a relic of a bygone age that has no place in the modern world of wrestling. The sooner both of them leave, the better.
