Mark Madden: "Ambrose throws the weakest punches in the business"

Mark Madden had some interesting comments to make during his appearance on the latest Ross Report podcast.

There are X amount of the smart marks that go goofy for the guy. But JR let me tell you the one thing I can't stand about him, and this is a peeve I won't get over until he corrects it, and it especially makes him a bad opponent for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania:

Dean Ambrose can't throw a believable punch. How can you be in Main Events in WWE and not throw a believable punch? How can you not have solved that part of your arsenal, especially when it has been oft-criticised?

The guy throws the weakest punches in the business.

I'm an Ambrose fan but can't deny what he says here and it's very agreeable.

There's a lot to like about Ambrose, but these 2 things - the goofiness and dodgy style of punching - are 2 that take away some.

He is over.

But he absolutely does indeed have the weakest punches. Not just in the WWE either. I think some Divas throw stronger punches tbh.

No doubt.

It can't be too much of a problem though as he continues to throw them and the WWE obviously don't care enough to want to change it.

Just seems like a nitpick in the world of professional wrestling.

Re: Mark Madden: "Ambrose throws the weakest punches in the business"

Ambrose IS over and Madden's a fuckhead. But as for the punches sadly he's not wrong Ambrose needs to put some force behind them, dude looks like a feeble old woman out there. But in saying that the last 4 months have been the best Dean Ambrose since The Shield he's finally showing everyone how good he actually is. I just hope WWE doesn't drop the ball.

i agree about his character as well. i've always thought why exactly is he crazy? cuz he makes faces and cole and jbl keep telling us he's crazy? great character development there. they've been presenting him like a cartoon character who's too dumb to care about getting beat up.

Ambroses weak punches are almost as bad as his weak frame

Madden is incorrect here.

Still this doesn't negate his points about Ambrose's goofiness, and his crappy punches.

Thought his comments would make for interesting discussion, as he is clearly correct on a few points, and clearly wrong on a few points, in my opinion.
