I looked at Hulk, and Hulk looked at me, and I was thinking, ‘Sting, what kind of lawyer do you have, bro? You’re coming in the door doing a job? You weren’t even guaranteed to go over?
This is exactly what I was thinking as soon as the match ended. How can you not come into the company with a guaranteed win? Mind-boggling.

Why should Sting have won exactly?

He had no storylines or matches planned after WM while Trips did. Keeping him 'strong' is of 0 value to WWE.

His win could have ended the god-awful authority story. So WWE would have been 3000% better off with a Sting win.

Sting being strong would have been huge because then just like Brock Lesnar or Undertaker , they had an extra go to guy for a big time match.

Honestly, Sting never should've competed in WWE. He's lost twice now and got injured. Totally not worth it.

HHH has tendencies to beat people that need the wins badly(Booker T, CM Punk, Sting as examples). Fucked.

Why sting should have won??? Because he was the biggest wrestler left from WCW and it took around 10 years to get him there. Plus he's getting old and everyone wanted to see him leave on top. It was really sad.

Don't know why Hall refers to him as ''lonely Sting'' when he's a well known friend of Hogan and Shawn via meetings of religion...

What matches did Triple H have planned after this? Because he hasn't wrestled since, meanwhile Sting was in 3 more matches before the end of the year.

There weren't any plans to end the authority story and without it Seth would've been in limbo and nowhere close to being the star he is today.

So a washed up old guy getting his win is more important than letting a young prospect shine?
Funny.. since this board always seems to complain about the reverse.

He is, even with the loss. He still carried a PPV main event based on his star quality and in hindsight it would've went down as the worst mistake of 2015 if they let the biggest heel of the company lose to a guy half the audience didn't know and crumbled to pieces in his next match forcing him to retire.

Again, neither man should have even been in a match together. Sting winning at 56 years old is a BIT ridiculous. I know we're very upset about it, and I agree with you. Sting should have been booked a bit stronger, but I mean... he wasn't a young gun up and comer. We already are mad at Taker for burying Wyatt. You know? It sucks the way he was handled but it could have been a lot worse? Always could have been worse with the WWE. He looked strong as fuck in the loss, and he got Triple H at EVERY turn. Plus HHH had JUST jobbed like the last 5 times? I mean shit think of it like that.
