Last week was the first show I've watched in months...

I caught last weeks Raw and was really impressed with what I saw. What spurred me to watch was catching some highlights of Roman Reigns beating Sheamus and the promos with Vince and Stephanie which preceded it.

More so than I can remember in recent times there was actual drama and surprise on an episode of Raw, rather than the usual formulaic stuff where they try and save stuff for next week. It seemed like they really went for it.

Anyway, even though Reigns is poor on the mic the way he carries himself means that it doesn't matter. The way he interacted with Stephanie was awesome, and I love the relationship he has with Ambrose. The whole main-event storyline revolved around Ambrose, Reigns and Sheamus - three guys who have legit star qualities and charisma - and I just ate it up. When Orton and Cena return the main-event picture is going to be even more stacked.

I'd like to know if there's a likelihood of Ambrose vs Reigns for the WWE title at Mania? I haven't been following the rumour sites. If not, who is likely to fight for the belt?

Also, who is Taker likely to wrestle if there has been any rumours?

Fwiw, the reason I stopped watching after Raw 1000 was because they made AJ Lee the GM, and force-fed CM Punk and Daniel Bryan every week. Now that all three are gone I really look forward to watching regularly starting tonight and leading up to WM.

Oh..thank god. I thought you mean't the Slammy's for a second.

Yes the Vince episode was one of the best of the entire year because something happened for a change

Ambrose vs. Reigns is highly unlikely to happen. Even if Ambrose dropped his title (he's the current IC Champion), he would not be a pick to win the Rumble match, as Reigns is currently feuding with HHH so they're probably going to do Reigns vs. HHH at WM. The other options are Reigns vs. Brock II or Reigns vs. Cena.

The Undertaker is rumored to face John Cena since Cena is the only big name in the current roster Undertaker has not faced at WM. I don't really know who else could it be, as Sting is injured and won't wrestle, and everyone else is not significant enough.

Let's just remember they already totally screwed up the first ever match between the two at Survivor Series, a match totally devoid of any excitement, how the hell they managed that, i don't know.

Anyway, i agree, the RAW before last was great, everything felt like it mattered, storyline wise, and it actually had an exciting main event angle to get behind with Vince getting involved.

Unfortunately they seemed to totally forget what they did for that episode, as the last RAW went back to the same old crap, just made worse by having near meaningless awards to break up the segments.

Edit: Oh god, you did mean the Slammy Episode? Well, i don't know what to say. If you did enjoy it then all the more power to you, but god, it was terrible. They went back on Reigns' character development, had Ambrose essentially used as an accessory to get Reigns over, and had more meaningless matches. The hell's the point of doing Owens v Ziggler for the 3rd/4th time in a month or so?

Haven't watched Raw now for a few weeks and Reigns becoming Champion will see that run continue for a good while longer. I simply cannot devote 3-5 hours of my week on this anymore.

I was so excited for that match, thinking it would be amazing and how they would put great effort into it because it was the first time these two go against each other in a singles match. I thought it was a shame they couldn't promote the hell out of it beforehand because of the tournament, but then what happens? They get 9 minutes and a clean finish right away, because WWE doesn't give a shit about this match and it had to be short for the whole SummerSlam 2013 ripoff angle.

Which could have very well been done the next night on Raw.
