i was going to pick Bray but i think this year´s biggest loser is Rusev.
how sad is that. the man went from being a most menacing monster and breakout star to an almost teen teddy bear fight for the love of a woman and now is just an enforcer in the "league of jobbers"
Lame!! will he ever recover from that crappy storyline?

And the worst year easily goes to Ryback IMO. Dude was pretty over and looked like he was going to get a legit push and maybe even the first win over Rusev. But then he was "fired" and came back with no real storylines or anything. Yeah he won the IC title he immediately got hurt than jobbed two PPVs to a rookie. He was an afterthought at wrestlemania and now his role is just a face to add to multi team tag matches against the New Day or Wyatt's

Stardust is another guy who had a bad year. I can accept arguments for Damien Sandow, the Miz, Daniel Bryan (bad injury) and Luke Harper as all guys who had pretty bad years

Yeah, I'd go with Rusev since he literally lost everything he had within one year.

Loses his streak.
Loses his woman in kayfabe.
Gets injured.
Turns into a comedy jobber in an awful angle with Ziggler.
Turns into an afterthought in a jobber stable.

The last 8 months have been awful for Rusev, given his dominant 2014.

Rusev without question.

Rusev's potential has barely been scratched but he just hasn't been the same since his loss to he who shall not be named. Putting him back together with Lana has actually made things worse and now he's stuck with the League of Jobbers.

Reigns needs a good heel to go against 2016. I hope they finally go with a Roman/Rusev feud.

Honorable mentions to Dolph Ziggler and Bray Wyatt.

Overall? Probably Tyler Breeze. Dude never really had anything going for him booking wise in NXT this year and it actually got worse when it came to the main roster.

If it wasn't for the IC title win i'd actually argue Ambrose as a contender due to him just being Reigns' buddy and never really having much to work with. As far as a fall from grace though i'd definitely say Rusev. He went from dominating everyone he faced to losing by way of Summer Rae's shoe.

Definitely Sandow has the steepest descent from Jan 1 to the end of this year. From the hottest gimmick and biggest pops to jobber tag team with Axel, to Wherever he is now, maybe a van down by the river. So sad.

Rusev? Dude ended 2014 feuding with Jack Swagger of all people. Prior to 2015 his best win was probably the Big Show or Mark Henry. In 2015 he had a long feud with John Cena including a submission win, he has main evented a few Raws and is now in the main event scene as part of a stable. Yeah he suffered two minor injuries and that Ziggler feud was awful but I would say he had a pretty good year. You can't stay undefeated foreign heel forever.

Actually I'd say defeating Sheamus, who was always booked strong as hell as a face, clean in 2014 for the US championship is his 2nd biggest win outside of beating Cena at Fastlane in 2015.

The victory at Fastlane is his only noteworthy achievement of 2015. He only has one other PPV win and was part of perhaps the worst storyline of the year. Add in the fact that he missed time and LON are just Roman's whipping boys and you've got a pretty lame year for Rusev.

Actually, Daniel Bryan fans

We were all excited in January, Bryan was back and was a shoe in to win the rumble and headline Mania with Lesnar....or so we thought. 2016 was gonna be awesome. Instead, we got a shit rumble where he was tossed out like a jabroni in favor of Vince's golden boy, Roman Reigns.

Fast forward to today, Bryan can't get cleared by WWE to come back and has been out for most of the year. We don't know if we'll ever see him wrestle again in WWE. Meanwhile, the man us Bryan fans all hate, the guy who ruined the Royal Rumble and ruined our Wrestlemania is now holding a title he doesn't deserve.

Sucks to be a Bryan fan in 2015. Bryan fans are the biggest losers of 2015. In fact, the Rumble is when I stopped watching.

Sheamus. Poor fucking guy. Because Rollins got hurt (which was the best thing to ever happen to Rollins) Sheamus had to step in and hold the belt for the most useless filler reign ever, at a time where fans aren't watching the show, and don't care about anything. Just so Cena Jr could win it from a heel. Sheamus was fed to the wolves.

Not that he's good or deserves better, but that's a really shitty spot to throw any performer in. They were basically telling him you're doomed before he ever did anything.

What bothered me about this thread is I could think of so many people off the top of my head that could be considered for this, while with Superstar of the year there was really only 4 candidates (Rollins, Lesnar, Cena and Reigns)

While depending on what way you look at it you could make an argument for Bray, Rusev, Ziggler, Ambrose, Neville, Luke Harper, King Barrett, Ryback, Daniel Bryan, The Ascension, The Dudleys, Becky Lynch and probably a few others for biggest lower.

Speaks volumes for the creative team really that they can make so few look good and so many bad

This fucking hurts to write but it's Rusev by a mile

The guy started the year an undefeated monster, then he got wreaked by Cena, lost his belt, then his girl and then the poor fuck got stuck with Dolph for 4 months. And now he's in the LON and because Barrett is hurt and Del-Fucko doesn't job he is now the fall guy, fuck this year poor Rusev :crying:

Both Rusev and Ziggler.

Their feud was so terrible and they both came out looking worse than when they started.

Kayfabe wise, Adam Rose is the biggest overall loser. Rusev is the biggest loser in terms of falling from grace.

In reality though, man it's gotta be Tyson Kidd by a mile. Poor dude's career is all but finished, and that neck injury will affect the rest of his life. Very sad about that still.
