For good or bad, last night was WWE utilising all levels of their roster.

Main event program: Reigns and Sheamus (w/ rusev and barrett)

Upper Mid-carders: Ziggler, Ambrose, Owens, Breeze

two tag division programs with wyatts and dudleys, and new day, lucha dragons and uso's in tag titles.

Utilising Mid card more with Swagger in a program with Del Rio, and giving Titus some promo time along with Stardust aswell as Neville having that post-match segment with Henry

two divas feuds, title match with paige and charlotte, and Sasha's parallel rise which will pay off with her challenging for the title down the road.

and even a jobber segment with Ryback squashing Heath Slater.

We always lambast WWE for only focusing on the main eventers, but last night they dedicated even amount of time for all programs. Again, not saying that it was a great RAW but they focused on everything...probably because a lot of their roster is down but still at least they're focusing on everything.

The problem is they have only done this in reacting to injuries, not being pro-active with their roster.

Being forced to do it is the first step to actually changing things. No radical change of how WWE do things was done out of any other option than they were forced to.

Plus it's the end of the year, this is the part of the WWE's schedule (post survivor series - beginning of january) where they can experiment with different things, try out pushes with people they wouldn't usually push, challengers for titles that you wouldn't get in busier times of the year etc... and they could perhaps happen across something which REALLY works that can become a permanent fixture the following year.

Last year we got Miz and Mizdow as tag champs, and the debut of The New Day. Both were 2 of the best things about WWE in 2015.

I didn't watch the show, but read an online review this morning (UK time). When I did, I had similar thoughts....

...whether the right personnel are in the right slots, they were at least demonstrating an example of 'card mobility' - i.e Jobbers can't move up to midcarders without TV time, same for upper-mid, etc...

Hopefully this will remain the trend.

I thought this too. I don't mind it... I was entirely negative post-Survivor Series but then I just thought "Ahhh, whatever"... and moved passed it, and now I'm open to anything. Enjoyed the use of talent on Raw, and hope it is a trend going forward. Surprised they used a few they did but feels like something new and different, if not a massive change.

i liked that almost everyone who can talk got promo time (see Titus, Slater)
They are trying to salvage neville, have a becky sasha feud, trying to make paige a credible heel opponent for borelette
give something to thwagger
there were layers to raw this week which we have not seen for a long time

They may have utilised the roster last night; however if anything this just shows that Raw should go back to two hours.

Majority of last night could of easily been put on Main Event & Smackdown, instead they decided to cram it into a 3 hour Raw just to fill the time.

Why should anybody care about Wyatt's beating down Dudleys, what have the Dudleys done since returning? Oh that's right it's been one massive flop. Was nice to see Sasha vs Becky, but how can you invest in a short match like that, Becky especially would be better off in NXT right now. Neville vs Henry is Smackdown fodder, Goldust, PTP, Stardust & Ascension yet again you could of easily chucked that on Main Event or Smackdown. Hardly anybody cares about these guys, yet again it's just pointless fodder that's impossible to watch.
