Re: Is Pedigree the reason behind Knee injuries ?

Yeah, it had nothing to do with him landing badly. It must have everything to do with him doing the Pedigree a total of 20 times.

Re: Is Pedigree the reason behind Knee injuries ?

Triple H had issues because of his steroid abuse. Common injury for people gassed to the gills. Seths injury is because of his insufficient training techniques mixed with his higher impact moves, not the pedigree.

The style he trains is not right for what he is doing. Mix that in with his sloppy technique on major movements like squats, cleans, and snatches. Pile that on with high risk moves, and that's what lead to his knee injury.

I'm not saying this to knock him, I love the guy. And before anyone knocks me, I am a highly qualified trainer and can review and critique his form and training style objectively. His form on the three mentioned lifts is mediocre at best, and needs work. The style he trains also stresses the body with improper planning. Over time, sloppy technique, bad training style and high risk moves caught up with him.

This is why the issue is complex because it's from a number of factors.

If he were to change his style, reassess and work on his form on those big lifts, he'd still be able to perform those moves, but without the stresses of sloppy training and improper technique.

His style is still very high impact, so there will still be a risk, but changing other aspects of his life, mainly his program, will reduce that risk.

It is not the pedigree.

No, the video shows he landed on his foot wrong which caused the knee to be damaged. The damage to Seth's knee did not come from the pedigree in the match. These two are not linked, not even remotely correlated. There's not even a causal relation between the two in this case.

I don't think he's been using it enough for that kind of wear and tear just yet, but I'm no doctor.

Re: Is Pedigree the reason behind Knee injuries ?

I'd imagine doing pretty much anything after the initial injury would be likely to further fuck you up and he went on to do all of this after the first landing. It's bad enough to even do the powerbomb Kane through table spot rather than something without further strain (a shitty roll up would do, it's a freakin' house show!) but to have Kane kick out and go to the planned Pedigree finish?

That's being a man, a foolish man. A powerbomb through a table wasn't enough? Should have guessed this would happen after Triple H did what he did after his quad tear against Jericho - we'll see how tough and impressive the post injury continuation seems when someone paralyses themselves by carring on to do idiotic spots like a Pedigree using torn up leg muscles.

I don't blame Seth so much because he was in the moment, it's the philosophy that's to blame. WWE doesn't give a damn about reality in wrestling except when it comes to severe injuries?! They're all just performers entertaining the crowd until you get seriously hurt and then it's all kayfabe, brother?

Re: Is Pedigree the reason behind Knee injuries ?

It could have been a factor but he does a lot of high flying moves that involves hitting or landing on his knee(frog splash, phoenix splash) and I hope he can use them both when he comes back to some degree perhaps only pulling it out at ppv's and such.

He should never have been given the pedigree in the first place, the curb stomp suited his character so much more imo
