WWE is still very much a live events company. They will continue to chug along and will simply place someone else into the injured wrestlers spot.

You know how pissed I am I finally had to remove my "Think WWE sucks, Where were you in 1995?" sig picture. God damn ratings decline.

Re: Its time to cut down on shows all these injuries happening isnt good

Vince isn't responsible for the amount of live shows, HHH is.

“Hunter is portrayed as the savior of wrestling, and people think he’ll save the business once he’s in charge,” Roberts said. “We all thought that, too, until he started running things. Paul started overseeing a bunch of divisions and one of them was live events. When he took over, our live events schedule was brutal. We’d start in one place and flew all over. Since he used to be one of the boys on the road, we thought he’d stand up and stop that, and he didn’t. The schedule got worse.

- Justin Roberts

HHH doesn't have to attend live shows and if he does, he gets to fly his Corporate Jet there, so what the fuck does he care if guys are being run ragged? He sure as hell isn't.

They absolutely need to cut down on shows. With NXT, RAW, SD, PPVs, Network specials, House Shows, some guys/girls could end up working 5-6 shows a fucking week. That's ridiculous and it's no wonder that people are getting hurt. And since wrestling is "clean" now, guys have to sit out longer than they would have 20 years ago.

The amount of shows, and the style these people work today is definitely leading to lots and lots of injuries. Nothing is going to change, but it certainly should.

I do agree that WWE need to cut down on their shows, but not just because of the injuries. The product is so overexposed at the moment, both the talent and the audience are burnt out.

It probably won't happen due to the money generated by advertising but if it were up to me, Raw would be cut to 2 hours, and Smackdown to one hour.

They only do house shows friday, saturday and sunday unless there's a PPV that sunday. They use to do 7 days a week and saturday, sunday, they would work two towns in one day.

I think every wrestler should get one month off in the year, not including injury. It would give them time to rest their body, clear their mind, etc. And in reality, it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

In their eyes. Money comes first, health comes second.
I find House shows are far better then tv shows

We went to one this summer as well where Reigns and Rollins had an amazing 30 minute match without too many rest holds. Heck even Fandango and Adam Rose had solid matches... Those guys can actually go if given the chance

Re: Its time to cut down on shows all these injuries happening isnt good

Have you ever seen the documentary where Piper is talking about how they use you up until they can no longer do so, it's probably a case of this ... the thing is, they have so many talents on the roster that barely get used, if these guys were used more they'd be seen as a better attraction for the live events, but they don't, it's the same talents over and over.

Watch this here :

Cutting shows is an absolute no, no, they need to do this for their income and also the fans need to be able to see the shows and be catered for, it's a case of utilising their talents right.

It's wrestling, injuries happen, sometimes they happen more times than others, it's just how it is, however cutting shows wouldn't favour them at all, as they would lose so much money and audiences ... which isn't something the WWE can afford to do and even if they could, it still wouldn't be good business to do that.

Don't worry Heff, we can still have a nice Thanksgiving. I bought us a nice big vegetarian turkey. It'll be delicious!

Wrestlers being over worked going from one city to the next lack of sleep, can lead to mistakes and injuries happening this is why the schedule needs to be cut down
