I noticed in recent months that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have been appearing less on WWE TV as of late (maybe a backstage segment on RAW but has never appeared on SmackDown) and I also noticed that Triple H has stopped doing the weekly sit-down interviews as well. Do you think that we might see a new GM replacing The Authority in the very near future?
When the Authority is over, and hopefully it's soon, I hope to see no Authority/Higher Power/General Manager storylines for a very long time. It's been running almost concurrently for decades.
Give the roster room to breathe. Let a hot fresh feud take center stage. Remember the personal battles between Edge and Cena or Undertaker and Batista? They didn't need an overarching general manager storyline. We need to get back to the biggest feuds being about two guys who want to hurt each other for reasons that have nothing to do with "management".
It would be "best for business" for them to never show their face for a long, long time. They have overstayed their welcome. If they decided to have another GM, maybe Bryan? That is if he can't wrestle anymore.
Well it seems WWE have slowly drifted away from the Authority angle. HHH and Steph hardly appear on TV anymore, Big Show has seems to have left the Authority, Kane will probably return in his Mask and will longer be part of the Authority seen as Rollins did further damage on his ankle when Lesnar crushed his ankle with the ring stairs.
