Austin missed the main event of the Survivor Series that year. And HBK/Taker headlined The Royal Rumble with the casket match

TLC 2011
Night of Champions 2012
Hell in a Cell 2012
Survivor Series 2012
Royal Rumble 2013

that's right he went 10 months as WWE Champion (December 2011 to September 2012) without headlining a PPV. John Cena and Kane went on after him at Elimination Chamber 2012.

Really makes you think...
Yeah, I remember eyerolling during many of those ppvs when Punk wasnt last, but the face of the company had to be the last face you would see as the show closed.

Which was pretty lame tbh. To this day, I still think Cena should've fucked off for a couple months after ER that year. Could've really tested Punk's drawing power, but WWE was more interested in giving Cena shitty Big Show and Big Johnny feuds that nobody wanted, but main evented anyway.

Let's let Cena off as he's such an outstanding wrestler

HIAC 2012 drew really well with Punk/Ryback tbf when they John Boy pissed off too, so I really do agree.

on the topic of monthly pay per views...its just way to many....i think 8 would be the ideal number...The 4 big ones plus 4 different random ones wether they be Night of Champions, Hell in a cell, TLC, extreme rules...what ever fits the tone of the storyline at that particular time

Re: Has anyone headlined all of the PPVs in one year when they started doing them every month?

Not sure if 95 counts since there wasn't 12 PPV's, but it was the first year they did the monthly INY PPVs. If so, then Diesel (Kevin Nash) came pretty close in 1995

Royal Rumble 95 (Diesel vs Hart)
WM11 (Diesel vs HBK)
INY 1 (Diesel vs Sid)
KOTR 95 (Diesel & Bigelow vs Sid & Tatanka)
INY 2 (Diesel vs Sid)
Summerslam (Diesel vs King Mabel)
INY 3 (Diesel & HBK vs Yokozuna & Bulldog)
INY 4 (Diesel vs Hart)
INY 5 (Hart vs Bulldog)

Had it not been for Hart vs Bulldog in December Diesel would have headlined all the PPV's that year. I am of course assuming since the WWE title match rarely goes on last at the Rumble, being in the WWE title match is the same thing as headlining it.

And yes technically LT vs Bigelow went on last, but come on, that was the equivalent of a dark match.
