The angle of The Shield's disbanding (Note : May contain slight spoilers pre SD)

Ok, so we've seen the angles lately with The Shield, and on tonight's Smackdown Reigns is telling Ambrose to tag out, which Ambrose is ignoring and continuing to try take on the match, eventually Reigns comes in, Ambrose gets in his way, Reigns gets kicked by Punk and The Shield lose ... it then shows Reigns and Rollins talking at the end looking at the monitor pissed off about it (no doubt towards Ambrose).

Previously Ambrose was having a match (I forget with who) and Reigns and Rollins were there for him, with Ambrose being outside the ring telling them he doesn't need them and can handle it themselves, Reigns and Rollins starting to walk away then return back to the ring, there was the clash with The Wyatts too when teaming up with each other, CM Punk goading them with Seth Rollins saying he was the best member of The Shield, it's basically a huge clash of ego's, mainly on Ambrose's part ... among other things that have happened, this seems to be the angle WWE are taking here with The Shield and the way that they will clash and disband (Possibly at The Rumble).

Bare in mind Ambrose is still the United States Champion (I know, he's barely defended this but the fact still says he's the one left holding a belt where as Reigns and Rollins aren't) ... I thought soon as Reigns and Rollins lost their titles to Cody and Goldust that this would be the way WWE would take it, Ambrose being the heel he is, kinda taking the 'I'm the legit member' kinda thing ... basically a clash of ego's within The Shield on Ambrose's behalf, setting him up for a good heel run already and a possible clash with Reigns or Rollins (No doubt Reigns it seems).

I'm liking this, because it is setting up Ambrose for that heel run that he will be so good at doing (The guy has the potential to be one of the greatest heels in the business), I'm not sure when we'll see the split of The Shield (I think The Royal Rumble will play a big part in stepping this up though) ... however we could be looking at a match between two former Shield members at some point soon .... my guess is Reigns, though Rollins I could also see facing off against him also, as well as Reigns, so it's going to be great either way I think ... however how do you see things going here for them, going by what we've seen so far with the progression of The Shield's break up.

I thought this could make an interesting discussion and would like to hear your vibes in regards to the angle which The Shield are taking here (IE Ambrose's ego causing this).

Don't worry Heff, we can still have a nice Thanksgiving. I bought us a nice big vegetarian turkey. It'll be delicious!

We've all seen it play out on tv. The break up is happening right before our eyes and hopefully it will be a triple threat match at WM for the US belt to complete the storyline.

I think they may have disbanded before Wrestlemania to be honest, but who knows?

I find it interesting that both Rollins and Reigns seem to be heading the same direction while Ambrose is really the lone split if it happens... maybe he impressed with those Punk matches more than we thought. Though you can't go wrong with pushing any of these three. You haven't had such a successful stable/group to launch so many guys that look to all be future main event level talent... but then, this is what happens when you slow burn a build and bring guys in with a plan.

As much flak as HHH takes, his vision worked out perfectly with these three guys.

Thanks for the wonderful memories Ultimate Warrior... happy you got to be recognised as the legend you are before you went. Rest in peace

They might just do the breakup at the Rumble considering it's getting close (Ambrose eliminates Rollins or Reigns to prove that he isn't the weak link in the shield)

I would hope that this eventual break-up will accumulate at Wrestlemania though in a triple threat match

I think they breakup at Mania, or sometime soon after. Just don't add a new member before now and then, please.

I am truly interested how this will play out. I must say though I know Reigns will be the one that will get the huge push, but I am hoping not just yet. I would like to see Ambrose and Rollins come out strong.

Reigns will beat Ambrose and Rollins 2vs1 multiple times. Mark my words. The push of the decade is coming.

Yeah, Ambrose does seem to be the one that's going off on his own, I've always thought Ambrose was the star if The Shield all along, but I have to say how impressive Reigns has been, and he does have the look, it makes total sense to push Reigns to the moon also.

Oh no, I don't think they'll do that .... I hope not.

Yeah me too, I think they will come out strong, I think all these guys are going to go on to do great things, Reigns will possibly be a huge face, Ambrose the heel of the company and possibly one of the greatest of all times to be honest ... and Rollins, well, he's gonna be such a competitor anyway, he reminds me of a Jeff Hardy.

Re: The angle of The Shield's disbanding (Note : May contain slight spoilers pre SD)

I hate this angle. I hate it, hate it, hate it. It's so generic, predictable and boring.

It's also really dumb for a team that was billed as the most cohesive unit ever to break up over a simple dick slinging contest. I'd honestly rather them not break up. I would've turned them face against the Corporation months ago and right now, Daniel Bryan and the Wyatts would be putting the final nail in the Shield's coffin or Triple H would've forcibly disbanded them and made them wrestle each other. One of them wins, they have an emotional "see you around" moment and that's it for the Shield.

Again, it's pretty dumb for these guys to have been booked as the ultimate TEAM yet broke up over egos like school kids or some shit. You'd think they'd work that out before putting on the armor, like actual SWAT teams.
