Now that's how you finish a match imho. With a finisher. Old school way... you're FINISHED. Ali wasn't even slowed/injured before the move either.. he just got pure destroyed.
No kickouts, no nothing. Ali was toast. You could have counted to 10. Loved Randy's slow turn around then pin. Finally they did what they always used to do years ago. You hit the finisher, and you're done. Thank you Randy/Ali (and whoever wrote that match ending) ... for showing us how it's meant to be.
Randy never let Ali get out of the gates because he can't work at any speed other than his own but it was a cool finish. In fact, I think this match was booked specifically because someone thought of a cool RKO, since Ali and Orton haven't interacted since February.
Shilling for Xia Li, Aliyah, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley
Its pretty sad when hitting a finisher and getting the win is a big deal. But thats what Spot Monkey Pro Wrestling is at thesedays, simple little things are awesome because they're a chance from the moronic status quo where anti-draw World Champs spam 20 finishers in a minute.
A finisher is supposed to finish people up so they did something right with this.
Exactly my point. Nowadays everyone kicks out of everything. Everybody crawls to the ropes on submissions. It used to be on very special occasions people kicked out of finishers. Regardless if people like him or not, that was the charm of Hulk Hogan. Nothing was better watching Hogan get out of the camel clutch. A move that basically nobody got out of before. Another example when Undertaker was as his height, it was tombstone...finished. Only very rare times somebody kicked out on a long two count.
Now people take multiple super kicks to the head and kick out. Come on now. I will say it seems like not too many people kick out of AJ Styles Clash finisher. Which is a good thing. And I did like how Bayley tapped to Charlotte pretty darn quick. So runner up of the PPV night , submission move speaking ... that was good.
