*Rollins makes a comeback
*Rollins hit a Stomp, but the Fiend completely no sells it
*The Fiend puts on the Claw, but they get caught in the ropes and the Fiend doesn't let go, so he gets DQ'd
*Rollins eventually puts The Fiend down with a barrage of Stomps.
*Rollins stands over The Fiend, only for The Fiend to put him in the Claw again
*Lights go out, The Fiend disappears

Time to over analyze whatever this could mean.
The main thing it tells me is that Bray Wyatts character is an idiot, since he had the title won and chose not to.

Other than that, it changes nothing about my opinion on this match. They're gonna try to protect Bray without winning the title and it's gonna kill his character.

Vince is not protecting Wyatt, Rollins is beating him clean as a whistle in order to look strong before his loss to Lesnar.

Re: Seth Rollins vs. "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt (Universal Championship: Hell in a Cell Match) - Hell in a Cell

"Protecting" him in Vinces mind could mean having him kick out of 10 Curb Stomps and going down to the 11'th. Look at how extra he was with Roman losing to Brock. He buried the F5 as a finish just so Roman would look strong in defeat. It doesn't matter. They're gonna pull some crap because the character is making Vince money. Look at when they were in the ring, everybody starts chanting for Bray, Bray gets laid out by Seth, the whole crowd starts booing Seth. Bray is so much more over and so much more of a draw than Seth it's ridiculous. They're going to maintain this illusion of strength until Mania, even if he loses. It's gonna be some extra, over the top nonsense to have him lose. Seth isn't gonna Curb Stomp him one time and pin him like he's Miz.

I don't care what they do, either, whether it's a clean pinfall, dirty pinfall, they both fall off the cell and the match ends inconclusively, I don't care. Any finish other than Bray winning the title at HIAC is unacceptable and kills the character.

If Bray Wyatt loses to the guy who has cleanly beaten Brock Lesnar twice and Braun Strowman, he is DONE.

And don't even get me started if they plan to job him out to the Undertaker. Who even IS the Undertaker?

I guess Wyatt could throw Seth off the cell through the table. Seth can't continue and gets stretchered, Wyatt doesn't win the title because it's not a pinfall or submission.

FFS man this is what they are going to do isn't it!

Nah, fuck. Stay positive. He's winning

If they do that, the character is destroyed. That finish shows a lack of faith in him.

I meant what I said. If he doesn't win the title, the character is destroyed. There is no creative finish you can come up with that's going to make me see him not winning the title as a net positive.

They're not gonna do that anyway, because if you beat your opponent to where he can't continue, you're the fucking winner. That's how it's always worked. Look at Brock vs Orton. They could break from that and do their own stupid thing, but they don't typically alter rules.

If he's winning, then why the fuck does it matter if I stay positive or not? What's the harm in staying negative for 2 more weeks?

I've tried the positive approach, it doesn't work. I didn't believe he'd win the WWE title and he still did. It's not like it makes a difference.

Vince has a vendetta against every single one of my people, I can't give him the benefit of the doubt. He's screwed me over too many times. And another factor in him losing is Sasha is winning the Raw title. Both heels are not winning both HIACs.

That wasn't for a title though. In WWE titles change hands via pinfall or ssubmission. Rock Bottom 1998 Mankind beat The Rock because Rock was incapacitated, but Rock kept the belt.

I was talking to myself

I know you won't be positive about his chances. Can I ask though, what was it that tipped you over the edge when it came to expecting the worst for your favourites? Was it a gradual thing? I've only taken notice of your posts for about a year. You must have been optimistic at some point right? Like during Asuka's streak? Owens Universal title run? Hell, go back further, Wyatt Family debut? when Sandow won MITB? Punk's 400-odd day title run? Were you pessimistic through all of that? Just wondering lol.

And they can do 2 heel cell wins, they did in 2011 Henry beat Orton and Del Rio beat Cena and Punk and 2017 Usos beat New Day and Owens beat Shane.

They better not do that.

There had to have been one title change, somewhere in history, IC, US, WWE, Universal, Divas, Tag, European, there HAD to be a knockout, somewhere. There's been too many title changes.

Those were times when I was happy with what they were doing with my favourites, but I still expected Vince to screw it up.

I was pretty optimistic with WWE and getting what I wanted out of it. The exact moment when it flipped was when Mr. Kennedy lost the MITB briefcase to Edge. From then on, it's been nothing but absolutely, unending fucking me over with brief glimpses of being able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Bottom line, I'll believe Bray is winning when the ring announcer announces him as the champion. I won't believe it before. I've seen enough to know not to do that.

Not sure, probably. The Mankind one was a Russo finish, so maybe it can be discounted.

Wow, that was like 12 years ago. That's a long time to be watching something that makes you miserable dude. Didn't Kennedy fuck himself out of that push anyway? If I remember correctly, wasn't Vince super high on him, but Kennedy kept getting injured and had backstage heat?

Kennedy was alright, good talker. The guys you mark for now are much better than him though imo.
