Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler (WWE Championship - Steel Cage Match)

Quote:
At WWE Stomping Grounds,*Dolph Ziggler*will again challenge for*Kofi Kingston’s WWE Championship, but unlike their last intense title clash, the rematch will take place inside the unforgiving confines of a steel cage.

Ziggler demanded the rematch and the steely stipulation in the immediate aftermath of his loss to The Dreadlocked Dynamo at*WWE Super ShowDown. Kingston’s triumph wasn’t without controversy, as his New Day brother-in-arms,*Xavier Woods, superkicked Ziggler during in the bout’s waning moments. Some members of the WWE Universe might argue Woods’ actions were warranted — the kick was in retaliation for an unprovoked attack by Ziggler moments earlier — but The Showoff saw the interference as nothing more than a desperation move, with Woods doing Kingston’s dirty work for him.

By demanding the rematch be fought inside a steel cage, Ziggler has guaranteed that the scenario will not repeat itself at WWE Stomping Grounds. There will be no outside interference, only two world-class Superstars — one the defending champion who’s living out his dream, the other a bitter and dangerous challenger who’s ascended the mountaintop before. And lest it be forgotten, the steel cage will do more than keep intruders at bay; it will also be a perfectly legal weapon for Kingston and Ziggler to use to grind each other to a pulp, all in the name of championship glory.

Tune in to this high-stakes and high-risk championship battle when WWE Stomping Grounds streams live Sunday, June 23, at 7 ET/4 PT, exclusively on the award-winning*WWE Network

This could be enjoyable but neither of the Stomping Ground main events are particularly exciting or interesting. The current main event scene has a real midcard stink to it.

Dolph really brings this entire title match down, the horrible ending doesn't help. Kofi needs to move on to bigger opponents like Randy for his next title feud. He needs that big main event opponent which is sadly lacking in the WWE because of how horribly they've built their division.

This is the one rematch that actually feels like it kind of makes sense, and the cage being a part of it could make things fun as well.

But I agree that Kofi should win and then move on to another opponent after this.

Re: Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler (WWE Championship) (Steel Cage Match)

I really don't get this.

The World Wrestling Entertainment has shown us Again and Again Things from the past of what has happend. So why do they keep on telling us there is no outside interference during a Steel Cage Match? I don't know how many times we have seen a Steel Cage Match with outside interference and superstars entering the Cage before the match was over. So what is preventing this Steel Cage Match from having outside interference apart from all the other matches?

How come this match will be impossible for someone to knock the outside referee out and taking his keys to the door? Or why can someone not climb over the top during this match? I mean, why is this match so special from other Steel Cage Matches?

Kofi feuding with Randy could be fun. And he should win, get a little bit of redemption/revenge for the infamous "STUPID, STUPID" moment that torpedoed his first ME push back in the day.

I'll be the first to say it, I hope Dolph wins. Sorry not sorry. I like Kofi but Dolph is my favorite and it's about time he actually gets a damn good push.

Dolph is one of my favourites so I hope he wins but think it's unlikely. I think these two would have been much better in a ladder match than a cage match. They're both good performers so I think it should be an above average match

This useless fucker is STILL here? Fucks sake, he was only supposed to be back because Owens wouldn't go to Saudi Arabia.
