WFFBBDL 2019 - First Waiver Pick Ups on Monday, March 4th at 3am ET (I think)

Please read carefully. If anything is not clear please ask.

You keep your entire roster each year.

In addition, in year 1 there is a supplemental draft where you draft 4 or 6 or some number of prospects. They become your AFFILIATE roster. And each year you refill your affiliate roster ie. DRAFT.

After each season you have to chose to either keep your prospects and they move to your main roster (ie. you have to drop a guy for each prospect you keep) or you lose the rights to that player.

If you call up a prospect mid season you forfeit a first (maybe second) whatever pick for the following year.

A prospect cannot be kept at the start of the season if he has more than 400 Plate Appearances or 100 IP.

More rules etc will be added as people ask or I think of things.

Prospect Rules

Quote:
If you call a prospect up in-season (in-season = after the prospect draft to the last day of the baseball season) you lose your first round pick the next year. Each other call up after the first costs another subsequent draft pick. All picks affected by an in season call up go to end of the draft. For instance, if you called up a player, your first round pick becomes the last pick in the draft.

At the end of the year you can either move a prospect to your main roster, dropping a player from your main roster to do so, or keep them as a prospect and lose your first round pick. Each other prospect kept costs another subsequent draft pick. You can drop them outright as another option.

If you end up with more than 6 prospects through trades or what not, you have to get back to 6 prospects before the next years prospects draft. You cannot have more than 6 prospects going into the draft, and to reiterate, each prospect you have takes away a draft pick.

By that deadline you need to have:
- made your prospect decisions (and posted them in this thread)
- your roster reduced to 22 (emptying your DL)
- added the prospects that you are calling up to your roster.
- Select all the players you are keeping, up to your entire 22 man roster (physically set your keepers on ESPN, if you don't they will be dropped to the wire, don't fuck up)

After the Deadline:
- 2015 Prospect draft (this should not take more than a week surely)
- AFTER the draft is completed I will finalize rosters - taking us out of predraft mode at which time you can start spending your FA dollars on waiver wire pick ups, either replacing guys you want to drop or filling any empty spots you have to get to 22.
Plz respawn

re: WFFBBDL (PROSPECT DRAFT IS OPEN)

We never even discussed H2H or Roto. As much as I've talked up Roto, I'm actually fine with either. The best argument for H2H is that players will stay involved longer each season because you're in the hunt longer. This is good because everyone should have as much fun as possible.

Also never discussed categories either. I'm really just rambling here, as all this will be decided later lol. We don't have enough players right now. I think TJ is a slam dunk to join. Not sure about DROW, but he SHOULD. I PM'ed them both about this.

I think H2H MOST categories would work best for this, as apposed to H2H total categories.

Would this supplemental draft be through ESPN or on here?

re: WFFBBDL (PROSPECT DRAFT IS OPEN)

It would be on here I believe. Or I suppose we could just roster the players and not put them in our line ups (even if they get called up). I fear some of them may not be in the ESPN database yet though.

I'd be cool with either ROTO or H2H. Obviously I'm more familiar with H2H, never actually done ROTO before, so I lean more towards that. Either way works for me though. Excited for this league though, should be quite the challenge.

Either way is also fine for me. Done ROTO most of the time but with my jobber friends.

re: WFFBBDL (PROSPECT DRAFT IS OPEN)

Should we do the big draft here too? I mean missing out on this draft would be catastrophic. I don't think drafts matter a hole helluva lot in baseball (compared to trades and the wire), but a dynasty draft seems enormous.

re: WFFBBDL (PROSPECT DRAFT IS OPEN)

DESO and THJ put us up to 8. We will need pairs to join but I don't want to go too high with this. 8 or 10.

If we can find a time where everyone can draft that of course is quickest and easiest. Otherwise ya I guess we'd have to do it on here.
