Same. I stopped watching halfway through the Thinker season (4?). Stopped Arrow a year earlier.

The Flash is my favorite show but season 4 had the worst villian.

Re: The Flash: Season 5

Saw the season opener last week. I enjoyed it, in the sense that I just like these characters playing off each other and the situations they get to.

Obviously everything's building to the Crisis special, so I'm assuming this Villain (Caitlyn's friend) won't amount to much.

Still need to watch this. Hopefully it's better than last season which was a chore for me to finish. Crisis does have me hyped though.

CW will going all out with Crisis on Infinite Earths, all the main superheroes will be on the show and will have multiple actors playing Clark Kent and Superman.

Re: The Flash: Season 5

I just watched the Halloween episode. There's a scene where Ramsey is threatening to kill a guy and Flash is only a few feet away from him. Unless I missed something, Flash could run and remove the guy from Ramsey's arms before he could react. It just felt stupid and not consistent with how fast Flash should be.

I'm still one episode behind. Ramsey is a MEH villain but the Crisis things make this season more tolerable than the last two. I do not like how Barry knows he is going to die, so we get the cast moping around about it. In the comics, he didn't get to say goodbye. He was presented with a situation and performed heroically. knowing that he would most certainly die. He didn't have months to gird himself for it, he did it without hesitation. He doesn't even know if his sacrifice will be successful. TV Barry knows that billions will be saved if he does the job which makes it an easier choice to make. Oh well. I wonder how long he will be dead or how they will circumvent his death which would greatly cheapen the Crisis storyline.

Still think Crisis will be great but I'd like to see real repercussions from it. I fear it will be mostly forgotten once the crossover is finished.
