I actually really enjoyed Season 4 until the Jasmine arc starts. Episodes 6 to 15 are just one whole run of awesomeness, with Angelus really being a shit load of fun to watch. The Jasmine arc is a bit of a fail though, but the last episode is also great.

Is this worth watching? It looks so generic.

Re: Marvel Agents of Shield.

Its kind of entertaining...but it seems like a very by the numbers show so far. Its probably worth sticking by for a bit

Re: Marvel Agents of Shield.

It's too network at the moment, predictable and cliche, could they not have waited with the mole storyline since they already had a double cross in that episode? Looks like it has a decent budget but the actions scenes seem cheap other than the CGI. They're trying too hard and fast to get the team to know each other and banter, it takes a whole first season for that, they need to calm down.

It's the right word. Jerkass.

Much better episode than the first. Great Cameo for Fury at the end too.

Re: Marvel Agents of Shield.

2nd episode gave me hope that it'll get better at least with the more character driven stories.

Re: Marvel Agents of Shield.

My main problem with this show is that they cast too many pretty people. I am having a hard time buying Ward as a badass. He looks like he is more suited to sucking boy band dick than he is being a realistic badass character. May, Skye and Simmons, all taken alone, do not present a problem. I think they are all doing well in their respective roles. The problem is that they are all too sexy. It's just not realistic. It seems that the casting department was more interested in casting good looking people than they were in casting good actors. Again, I am not saying the actors are doing a bad job, it's just the fact that when all the actors are pretty, it can be a distraction. Then we get the guest star in the 2nd ep... and guess what, it's another hot babe. When she was talking to Coulson after she had revealed her true colors, we were supposed to be seeing a villain. Instead, all I saw was titties hanging out.

The top 5 reasons for watching this show are Coulson, Coulson, Coulson, Coulson and Coulson. He is excelling in his role. Outside of the pretty factor, I do not hate the rest of the cast. They are doing well enough. The show might be trying to be a little too cutesy to start but I have not as of yet lost faith that they can flesh out these characters.

Part of the problem is that the show is on one of the Big 4. They have certain bullshit standards that must be adhered to. Pretty actors is one of them. Things have to be dumbed down for the sheep. Considering those detriments, they have done well enough to keep me watching. I just really hope they are able to turn this into a good show without relying on the same ol' cliches to get them by.
