Any movie or show that has a military funeral that plays Taps and or has a rifle volley get me really choked up.

My Grandad passed away earlier this year and since he was a veteran, they played Taps at his funeral, my god, it was like a huge kick to the gut.

Re: What is the most emotional thing you have seen on screen?

This is one of my favourite movies and one of the best, with the most tragic and moving climaxes. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest:

(Could only find this in two parts but it's worth the watch)

the follow up:

This did and still does make me so fucking mad and angry to a point I never felt before with a movie or anything almost.

Nurse Ratchet, the power mad matriarch of the ward sees that Billy has broken free of her grasp (with the help of McMurphy, Nicholson), so she uses the threat of his mother to bully him back down to a stuttering mess, begging her and thus restoring her power.

The way she looks at McMurphy once Billy gets taken away is pure evil - she's mentally destroyed this poor fragile man just to spite him as the upstart that challenged her power.

Then when Billy kills himself, she effectively did it and McMurphy damn well knows it. So he strangles her.

I was so fucking mad and angry and always thought I wouldn't be able to stop myself trying to kill the bitch as well. She knowingly pulls the strings on this poor traumatised man who is obviously terrified by his own mother in order to win some power play.

For anyone that doesn't know the end, McMurphy ends up a vegetable after a labotomy, Chief puts him out of his misery and breaks out of the institution.

A 5/5 movie with acting x1000.

"I backed him. You can see how loyal he is. He was begging for my endorsement. I could have said, 'Mitt, drop to your knees.' He would have dropped to his knees."

"You oughta see this guy - 'uh, I don't know what I said, uh, I don't remember,'"

“I will build a great wall – and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me – and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.”

The film isn't dissimilar to any other Lynch film in that it features his main theme... the passing of time. It doesn't feature his usual maze of existential horror, but all roads lead to the same place. Harry Dean Stanton is an acting great.
