Shows were much better before the 2000's.

Most of the best shows I've seen is stuff like: Unsolved Mysteries, Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, Gilligan's Island, Xena Warrior Princess, Gunsmoke, St. Elsewhere, the original Twilight Zone, Adams Family, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Roseanne, Saved by The Bell, Tales from the Crypt, Hunter, Columbo, Dallas, The Rockford Files, etc. The cartoons were much better, with stuff like Scooby-Doo, Courage The Cowardly Dog, The Pink Panther, Flintstones, Bugs Bunny, Beavis and Butt-head, and others.

Unfortunately, after the year 2000, things seemed to begin getting worse. They have zero theme song now. The comedies aren't funny, and the dramas are way too serious.

One of the great things about the shows I mentioned are, they are fun to watch. They have great theme songs, a few actors, and simple plots. They don't need a thousand random people on screen at once, with a complicated plot, like now days rubbish.

Very few shows after the year 2000, up to the present day, have been good. Most are mostly crap. No way in hell will I watch a show like Bachelor in Paradise, Modern Family, The Big Bang theory, Breaking Bad, etc. Modern shows simply don't look good. You couldn't pay me to watch them. Why would anyone waste their time watching that crap?

Wait did you compare breaking bad with the big bang theory? That had just as much story as the shows you liked?

Re: Shows were much better before the 2000's.

I’d say the golden age of TV started around 99 and ran about 13 years before GoT and Walking Dead started to bleed into far too many shows and even “the blue sky” network dropped fun for shit shows.

Thanks for the wonderful memories Ultimate Warrior... happy you got to be recognised as the legend you are before you went. Rest in peace

It was a million times better before the 'I'm offended' culture developed like a cancer around 2011.

90's is all nostalgia and I'm saying this as a 90's kid.

The 2000's had better range in TV programming.

Movies were the better range in the 90's.

How old were you then? No doubt that we prefer things when we were younger. They helped shape us.

I'm going have to disagree when shows like The Office and Breaking Bad exist.

Re: Shows were much better before the 2000's.

I think each decade had its own share of good and bad shows. It's hard to judge which one was better with the nostalgia glasses on though. If there's one thing I like about today is you can now choose which one you really want to watch and you don't have to wait at that certain timeslot to watch your favorite show, well not unless it's an ongoing one but at least it's easier to catch up now unlike before when you have to DVR those things.

Re: Shows were much better before the 2000's.

I dunno, I was very young during the 2000s.

Gotta say, most sitcoms are trash compared Two and a Half Men with Charlie Sheen for me. Mike and Molly/How I Met Your Mother is the only thing I like.
