Quote:
Warner Bros. Animation and Elizabeth Banks’ Brownstone Productions are teaming up for a new “Flintstones” series, Variety has learned exclusively.

The project, which is in early development, is described as a primetime animated adult comedy series based on an original idea featuring characters from “The Flintstones.” The series will be produced by Warner Bros. Animation. No network is currently attached.

You need to be yourself, you can't be no-one else.

I just know this gonna be awful. I can be almost certain that it won't contain any of the charm as the original.

"I remember how you used to shine back then, you went down so easy like a glass of wine my friend, when the dawn came up you felt so inspired to do it again but it turns out you only get to do it once."

You can't give me a reason, I don't need one to shine, You can't give me a feeling 'cause it's already mine

I’ve never understood the hype for Flintstones. Even as a kid I always thought it was a bland cartoon. The same goes for Scooby-Doo(though A Pup Named Scooby-Doo was great). And yet there is always talk a new series or a new film in the works for these properties.

Re: WB & Elizabeth Banks developing a new Flintstones series

I liked Flintstones as a kid.

There was one episode of Fred having to host both Pebbles' birthday party and a meeting for his lodge brothers and the two things kept getting screwed up and I remember thinking it was the funniest thing on the planet. Granted, I was 7, but a fond memory is still a fond memory.

I wonder if this show will be closer to the recent comics run of The Flintstones which are a bit, uh, different.

I think the latest generation of kids is going to be one of the most deprived of all generations with all the re-makes and reboots.

I wonder if it's going to impact their own creativity since it seems to be completely lacking this generation already.
